아버지의 장애인 부모운동 참여 경험 분석

A Study on Fathers’ Experiences of Participation in Parents’ Movement for People with Disabilities

본 연구는 아버지의 장애인 부모운동 참여 경험 분석을 위해 시행되었다. 이를 위해 장애인 부모운동에 참여 경험이 있는 아버지 여섯 명을 대상으로 심층 면담을 시행하고 질적 분석을 하였다. 분석 결과 세 가지 주제(장애 자녀 아버지로 살아가기, 장애인 부모운동 활동가 되기, 아버지 활동가로서 삶의 의미)와 이에 따른 일곱 가지 하위 주제(장애 자녀의 아버지 되기, 양육 참여, 활동의 시작, 아버지에서 활동가로, 활동가로서 어려움과 해결, 개인적 삶의 치유와 삶의 회복, 생애 전환의 경험과 활동가로서의 성장)를 도출하였다. 본 연구결과를 바탕으로 아버지의 장애인 부모운동 참여 경험을 역동적 성장 과정, 적극적 양육자로서 역할 각성 과정, 새로운 사회적 역할의 획득 과정, 부모 활동가로의 성장과 실천의 외연 확장 과정으로 논의하였다.

This study was conducted to analyze the fathers’ participation experiences in parents movement for the people with disabilities. For this purpose, data were collected on life history through in-depth interviews with six fathers who have participated in parents movement for people with disabilities and conducted qualitative analysis about them. As a result of the analysis, three topics were derived: living as a father of the child with disability, being a parent activist for the people with disabilities, meanings of life as a father activist. Moreover data were converged on each sub topics: being a father of the child with disability, participating in parenting, starting an activity, from a father to an activist, difficulties and solutions as an activist, healing and recovery of personal life, experience of life transformation and growth as an activist. Based on the results of this study, we discussed fathers’ participation experiences in parents movement for people with disabilities as processes of dynamic growth, awakening role as active parent, acquisition of new social role, growth as a parent activist and expansion of practice.
