본 연구는 조손가정 아동에게 자아존중감을 고려한 미술교육프로그램을 개발 및 실시하여 조손가동의 교육적 경험을 현상학적으로 연구하고자 하였다. 본 연구는 총 24차시의 자아존중감 미술 프로그램으로 재구성하고 연구의 참여자는 조손가정 아동 2명을 선정하여 수업을 진행하였으며, 매 차시가 종료되는 시점에 개인별 심층면담(아동, 양육자)을 진행하였다. 수업관찰과 작품사진 자료를 수집하고 심층면담은 녹음 및 전사하여 월코트(Wolcott)의 ‘기술’,‘분석’,‘해석’의 연구절차를 따랐으며, 수집한 자료를 개방코딩작업을 통해 범주화 후, 주제를 발견하여 분석하여 해석에 도달하였다. 수집한 자료를 분석한 결과, 총 5개의 상위주제와 18개의 하위주제로 나누어 도출되었다. 연구 참여자들은 자아존중감을 고려한 미술 프로그램을 경험하면서 작품을 완성하는 성취감을 매 차시 경험하였으며, 연구 참여자들은 수업을 통해 심리적인 행복감에 대한 스스로를 판단할 수 있는 기회가 되었다. 연구결과를 통해 자아존중감을 고려한 미술 프로그램에서 미술 작품을 제작하는 경험을 통해 조손가정 아동에게 성취감과 자신감을 부여하고 감정의 정화를 일으켜 자연스럽게 표출하게 함으로서 그동안 알아차리지 못했던 자신의 모습을 객관적으로 이해하고 수용할 수 있는 기회가 되었음을 확인하였다. 본 연구는 조손가정 아동의 미술수업을 통하여 아동 스스로의 가치판단을 할 수 있는 자아존중감과 관련된 현상에 대하여 질적으로 연구하였다는데 의의가 있다.
The study conducted the reestablished art education program considering the self-esteem of grandparents children who have overcome challenges and crises. The study also examines the process and experience of grandparents children in a phenomenological way. According to the research, the results of the study on the self-esteem through the empirical process of self-esteem of grandparents children are as follows. First, the participants experienced the sense of accomplishment in every session in which they accomplished the work while engaging in the self-esteem art program. Second, the self-esteem art program offered an opportunity to the participants to help judge themselves in terms of psychological happiness In addition, it was revealed that there is a need for a multifaceted art program which stimulates the self-esteem of grandparents children through an educational approach, away from the way proposed in a number of previous studies, in which grandparents children have been pathologically viewed and considered as patients. It is also expected that better results will be obtained given that the program is extended to encourage participation with family members connected with the home child.
