본 연구의 목적은 다문화 상담복지 현장에서 실무자가 효과적으로 업무를 수행하기 위해 갖추어야 하는 역량을 탐색하고, 그러한 역량을 측정할 수 있는 척도를 개발하고 타당화하는 것이다. 이를 위해, 다문화, 상담, 사회복지 분야에서 역량의 개념에 대한 국내외 선행연구고찰을 통해 다문화 상담복지 역량의 구성개념을 파악하고 문항들을 구성하였다. 구성된 예비문항을 토대로 심리학과 교수 3명, 사회복지학과 교수 3명들에게 문항 구성 및 내용의 적절성에 대해 검토를 받고, 57문항을 선별하여 설문지를 제작하였다. 심리학과 사회복지학을 전공하는 대학생 254명에게 설문을 실시하였다. 탐색적 요인분석 결과, 다문화 상담복지 역량을 구성하는 요인의 수는 4개가 적절한 것으로 나타났고, 17문항이 삭제되어 총 40문항이 확정되었다. 요인 1은 ‘다문화 역량’, 요인 2는 ‘인성 역량’, 요인 3은 ‘상담 역량’, 요인 4는 ‘사회복지 역량’으로 명명하였다. 모형 적합도가 적절하였고, 4개 요인의 내적일관성 계수, 총점-문항 간 상관, 요인 간 상관 분석 결과 신뢰도 또한 양호하였다. 준거타당도를 위해 대학생의 전공만족도와 학업적응도와의 상관을 살펴본 결과, 역량을 보유하고 있는 정도가 높을수록 전공에 대한 만족도가 높고 학업적응도가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 본 연구의 함의와 활용가능성에 대해 논하였다.
The purpose of this study was to identify constructs of multicultural counseling social work competencies to be required for working with clients effectively and to test its reliability and validity in a college sample. Based on the comprehensive literature review on the competency concept of multiculture, counseling and social work area, preliminary items were constructed and 57 items were selected among them by suggestion made by an advisory group. Online survey was administered to 254 college students majoring in counseling psychology and social work in a University of Chungcheongnam-do. The result of exploratory factor analyses showed that a four factor solution appeared to be the best in terms of interpreting the construct. Also 17 items have been deleted and 40 items were finally confirmed based on the results of factor analyses. Those extracted 4 competency factors were multicultural competency , personality competency , counseling competency , and ‘social work competency’. The model fitness was proper and internal consistency also remained at a high level. Criterion validity analysis with college major satisfaction and academic adaptation scales showed moderate correlations. Based on these results, the implications and availability of this scale were discussed.
