‘아트버스 프로젝트, 오! 재미’에 참여한 작가의 경험을 통해 살펴본 ‘찾아가는 미술교육’의 의미

The Meaning of the visiting art education through the experiences of participating artists in ‘the Art Bus Project, Oh! Jamee’

본 연구는 작가가 직접 찾아가는 프로젝트 형 미술교육 프로그램에 참여한 작가들의 인터뷰를 통해 찾아가는 미술교육의 의의를 밝히고자 하였다. 이를 위해 2009년부터 2015년까지 ‘아트버스 프로젝트, 오! 재미’의 60개 정규프로그램과 단회모임 또는 캠프의 형식을 취한 특별 프로그램에 참여한 작가 50명의 참여후기로 수집한 서면인터뷰와 보충적인 구두인터뷰의 내용을 분석하였다. 그 결과 5개의 구성요소와 17개의 하위구성요소를 도출하여 작가가 찾아가는 미술교육의 의미들을 다음과 같이 정리할 수 있었다. 첫째, 아동의 미술에 대한 흥미와 동기를 증가시킬 수 있다. 둘째, 기존의 미술교육과는 차별화된 경험을 제공한다. 셋째, 아동의 사회적 능력을 증진시킬 수 있다. 넷째, 아동의 사고능력을 증진시킬 수 있다. 다섯째, 아동이 스스로를 삶의 주체로 느낄 수 있는 경험을 제공한다. 이에 대한 논의에서는 작가가 찾아가는 미술교육의 지속수행과 성과를 위해 해결해야하는 문제들과 지원의 필요를 제안하였다.

This study examined the meaning of visiting art education through the experience of the participating artists. For this purpose, the written interviews and the additional oral interviews, those of the artists who participated in the Art Bus Project Oh! Jamee , were analyzed. Fifty artists were participated in 60 regular programs and several camp programs from 2009 to 2015, and wrote the reviews of engagement. The five components and 17 sub-components were derived from analysis of the interviews. Getting significance meaning of visiting art education could be summarized as follows: First, visiting art education increase the interest and motivation for children s art. Secondly, visiting art education provides a differentiated experience with the traditional art education at schools. Third, visiting art education can enhance the social skills of the child. Fourth, visiting art education can improve the thinking ability of children. Fifth, visiting art education provides an experience that you can feel the children themselves as subjects of life. Finally, when we continue to compensate with weakness of the regular school art education and to support for visiting art education, children could experience this new alternative art education.
