초등학교 표현 활동(무용) 지도에 필요한 교사의 역량

Elementary School Teachers’ Competency of Dance as an Expressive Activity

본 연구는 초등학교 표현 활동(무용) 지도에 필요한 교사의 역량을 알아보고, 표현 활동(무용) 수업이 활발하게 진행될 수 있도록 도움을 주고자 초등 교사이자 경기도 G교육대학교 대학원생 9명을 대상으로 FGI(Focus Group Interview, 초점집단면접)를 실시하였다. 그 결과, 9명 중 2명은 방송댄스와 창작무용을 짧은 시간 지도했고, 나머지 7명은 표현 활동(무용)을 지도하지 않았다. 따라서 초등학교 표현 활동(무용) 지도에 필요한 교사의 역량을 지식(이론), 기술(실기), 태도로 나누어 알아본 결과, 첫째, 지식(이론)으로 움직임 요소 및 방법, 표현 요소 및 방법, 유래 및 기원, 주제 선정 방법, 창의력 등이 필요하고; 둘째, 기술(실기)로 테크닉(스텝), 유연성, 표현력, 리듬감 등이 필요하며; 셋째, 태도로 수용성, 적극성, 자신감, 배려, 친근감 등이 필요하다는 결과를 얻었다.

The purpose of this study was to examine the competency of teaching dance as an expressive activity for elementary school teachers. In this study the researcher employed Focus Group Interview (FGI), involving nine elementary school teachers as graduate students in G University. The study result shows that 2 of 9 teachers had taught broadcast dance and creative dance classes; the remaining 7 teachers did not have any teaching experience in dance activity. Therefore, this study suggests the development of the competency of teaching expressive dance activity for elementary school teachers should incorporate building competency of teachers. First, they should develop the knowledge of movement element, expressive method, origin, subject selection, and creativity; second, for performance skills, they need to learn step, flexibility, expressiveness, rhythm; and third, as attitude, they develop receptivity, aggressiveness, confidence, caring, and friendliness.
