음악교육에서 인성교육의 현황과 과제

Current Situation and Issues of Character Education in Music Education

본 연구는 초･중학교 인성교육과 관련된 음악 수업을 관찰하고 인성교육의 현황과 과제를 파악하여 교수･학습 방안을 제시하는 것이 목적이다. 이를 위하여 대도시, 중소도시, 읍․면 중 각 각 초･중등의 3개 학교의 음악수업을 관찰하고 교사를 면담하였다. 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 음악교과 수업 내용에 인성교육 핵심 가치덕목과 인성역량을 지도하는 방안을 모색한다. 둘째, 음악과 수업에서 학생 참여적 협력수업을 통한 학생중심의 인성교육이 필요하다. 셋째, 학기 단위의 지속적인 음악활동에 인성교육이 서로 연계되고 융합되는 지도 방안을 모색한다. 넷째, 음악과 인성 교육적 효과를 제고하기 위하여 포트폴리오를 사용한 수행평가, 학생 자신의 학습활동에 대한 자기평가와 상호평가, 학습 과정을 평가하는 정의적 평가 등이 필요하다. 다섯째, 인성교육의 내실화를 위하여 음악교과시간과 방과 후 활동이나 창의적 체험활동과의 연계가 필요하다.

This study investigate current situation and issues of character education in music education by observing music classes and conducting interviews of 3 elementary schools and 3 middle schools. Specifically, this study concludes 5 principles of character education in music education. First, the valuable virtue and humanistic competencies of character education should be established, and related with the contents of music education. Second, student centered cooperative learning as a method of developing student character should be facilitated. Third, character education should be connected and blended with continuous music activities for one semester. Fourth, the process and result of character education should be evaluated using appropriate methods, such as portfolio, self evaluation, mutual evaluation, and quantitative assessment. Fifth, to attain good quality of character education, music classes, after-school activities and the creativity experience activities need to be connected together.
