다문화가정 자녀들의 문화역량교육 프로그램에 관한 실천적 가치 탐색 - 태권도 교실 사례를 중심으로 -

Practical Value Exploration on Cultural Education Programs for Children of Multi-Cultural Family : Focusing on Cases of Taekwondo Classes

이 연구의 목적은 다문화 가정 자녀들을 위한 문화역량 교육 프로그램의 교육적 실천 가치를 탐색하는데 있다. 이 연구는 문화교육 프로그램 중 태권도교실의 사례연구로써 신체활동의 기능과 기법 중심이 아닌 문화역량 교육에 기본취지를 두었으며 활동의 다양화, 차시별 활동의 세분화를 시도했다. 다문화가정 자녀들을 위한 문화교육 프로그램 현장은 문화적 이질성에 대한 선입견, 문화교육지원의 부재 속에서‘내 아이는 한국인’이라는 교육전제가 내포되어 있었다. 이와 같은 관점에서 태권도 체험과정은 그림일기를 통한 반성적 사고, 도복착의와 인사, 정신수양, 공감하기 등 통합적 활동을 통해서 몸과 정신을 하나로 만드는 수련, 배려와 약속 등 태권도 정신을 내면화하는 인성적 수양과정이며 긍정적 자아발견과 충, 효, 예의 문화로 입문하는 문화정체성의 형성과정이었다. 또한 공개수업을 통한 어머니의 참여, 어머니들 간의 상호교류 등 한국어가 미숙한 어머니와의 적극적인 소통을 실천함으로써 태권도교실을 통한 어머니의 역사회화가 이어지고 있는 것으로 확인되었다. 이와 같은 연구는 다문화가정 자녀들을 위한 문화교육 지원의 부재를 인식하고 실천적 가치를 발견함으로써 문화역량교육 프로그램의 장려와 교수내용 및 방법의 전문성 개발을 필요로 한다는 점에서 다문화교육 현장의 개선방안과 시사점을 제공해주고 있다.

The purpose of this stud is to explore educational and practical value focusing on cases of Taekwondo classes as a supportive education program for children of multi-cultural families. The study tried segmentation of diversification of activities and activities by hours with basic intent of cultural education, not focusing on a technique regarding composition and operation of Taekwondo classes. The premise of education that is ‘My child is Korean’ was connoted in the scene of the programs supporting education for children of multi-cultural families despite prejudice for the inside and outside of cultural heterogeneity and non-existence of cultural education support. The Taekwondo experience course provides reflective thinking through a picture diary, positive self-discovery through activities such as wearing uniforms and greetings, spiritual culture, sympathizing etc., and a course that goes into Taekwondo culture with internalizing Taekwondo spirit such as an attitude that a body and a spirit become one, consideration and promises etc. Besides, assertive communication with mothers who were not good at speaking Korean was required to be carried out in Taekwondo classes. It also resulted to history conversation of mothers through Taekwondo classes such as mothers’ participation through open classes, mutual interactions among mothers etc. This study is meaningful in recognizing non-existence of cultural education support and encouraging programs for cultural education and developing the contents and methods for teaching and raising practical value of multi-cultural education for children of multi-cultural families.
