문화사회학의 관점에서 본 도시재생지역의 학습공동체 형성에 관한 고찰 - Elias의 결합태 담론과 Simmel의 사회적 공간 담론을 중심으로 -

A study about forming learning community in urban regeneration district from a perspective of cultural-sociological theory - A based on a ‘figuration’ theory of Elias and a ‘social space’ theory of Simmel -

본 연구는 문화사회학 관점에서 도시재생지역의 ‘커뮤니티 문화센터’라는 학습공동체 형성의 전반적인 실행과정을 정리・분석하였다. ‘커뮤니티 문화센터’로 인해 지역이 어떻게 변화했으며 주민들은 어떠한 변화들을 경험했는지에 관해 문화센터의 운영자, 학습자, 관계자를 대상으로 심층면담을 실시하였다. 본 연구의 이론적 배경은 개인, 집단, 조직, 사회와 같이 인간이 관계된 모든 구성체들의 다양한 기제들이 상호연결되었다고 보는 N. Elias의 결합태 담론과 G. Simmel의 사회적 공간 담론이다. 본 연구를 통해 사회적 공간인 문화센터는 결합태를 통해 자기생산적이고 자율적으로 변화하고 있다는 것, 지역의 문화센터는 물리적 공간 개념을 넘어서 사람들 사이의 상호작용에 의해 형성되는 사회적 공간임을 확인할 수 있었다. 이러한 사회적 공간에서 장소정체성이 만들어지고 개인들의 삶과 체험이 생성되기 때문에 새로운 문화를 창출하는 학습공동체가 만들어 짐을 확인할 수 있었다. 마을단위에서 이루어지는 도시재생사업에 있어서 사람들 간의 상호작용을 바탕으로 하여 학습공동체를 운영할 수 있도록 사람들의 역량을 높이는 것과 이러한 학습공동체가 자율적으로 창출될 수 있는 과정에 대한 방안이 마련되어야 하겠다.

This study was arranged and analyzed general action research from a perspective of cultural-sociological theory about ‘community culture center , a learning community in urban regeneration district of Busan. In-depth interview with participants was conducted so as to examine the changes the region and residents experienced as managing of community cultural center . For the theoretical background, community culture center was approached by Elias figuration that various mechanisms of all formations related to human, such as individuals, groups, organizations and society, are mutually connected, Simmel s space of social interaction and intimacy discourse. This study confirmed that culture center, a social space, becomes self-productive and self-regulating through the figuration and culture center of the region is social space formed by interaction among the people beyond the concept of physical space. As in the social space place identity is made and individual life and experience are created, creation of learning community which is making new culture was confirmed. For managing learning community based on the interaction among the people in urban regeneration project by village unit, measures of the process to create the learning community autonomously and improving capabilities of people should be prepared.
