박물관교육자료 개발의 쟁점 및 개선방향 연구 - 국립중앙박물관의 어린이․청소년 선사․고대관 활동지를 중심으로 -

Direction and Issues In Development of Museum Education Materials Using - With a Focus on Activity Sheet for Children․Youth about Prehistory․Ancient Room of The National Museum -

본 연구는 현재 국립중앙박물관의 어린이․청소년을 대상으로 한 활동지의 분석을 통해 박물관교육자료 개발 쟁점 및 개선방향을 밝히고자 하였다. 분석을 위해 현재 온오프라인에서 제공되는 활동지, 관찰일지, 전시물 등 관련 자료를 활용하였다. 현장에서의 활동지의 활용 실태를 파악하기 위해 전시분석과 참여관찰을 하였다. 이 연구는 교육자료에 대한 개발자들의 목표와 관점은 무엇인가, 이들이 전개하는 활동지제작을 위한 전시의 해석 방식은 어떠한가에 대해 답하고자 하였다. 국내 주요 박물관에서 활동지의 역할은 전시의 피상적 관람의 한계를 벗어나 전시에 보다 집중하게 하는 매개체로 활용되고 있다. 때문에 학습자료로서 활동지 개발과 적용은 박물관교육의 질적 향상을 위한 필수 교육매체로 인식되고 있다. 교육적 의도로 개발되는 활동지는 전시물의 관찰을 통해 관람자의 학습경험을 심화시키는 계기가 된다. 따라서 활동지 개발의 쟁점은 주제를 다루는 방식에서, 학습자의 성장을 촉진시키는 교육학적 해석 원리가 함축되어 있어야 한다. 이렇게 볼 때, 박물관교육에서 활동지는 다양한 관점을 개발시키는 사고력 훈련의 과정으로서 논쟁의 재현과 학습자의 최종적 결론을 촉진하는 민주 시민성의 가치를 드러내야 할 것이다.

This study explored directions and issues in development of museum education materials of The National Museum in korea through the analysis of activity sheet for children․youth. For the purpose of the analysis, various activity sheets of on-off line, observation journals, exhibits, and related museum education materials are utilized. In order to identify actual using condition of the activity sheet on site, exhibition analysis and participant observation were executed. This study was carried out to answer the question of what is the goal and point of view of material developer for museum education, and how the material developer interprets the display to make an activity sheet. Therefore, development and application of the activity sheet as an education material are recognized an essential education media to improve the quality of museum education. Activity sheet developed with educational intention provides an opportunity for participants to deepen learning experience through the observation of the exhibition. Thus, the issue of the development of the activity sheet has to include educational interpretation principle with the subject to promote the growth of the leaners. In this sense, activity sheet in the museum education has to show reproduction of controversy in the process of thinking training for developing various aspects, and the value of democratic citizenship of the leaner to help reaching the final conclusion.
