본 연구는 현대인의 삶에 있어 예술을 체험하고 실천하는 것의 의미와 구체적인 실천 방법과 유형을 탐구하여, 예술을 통해 풍요로운 삶을 영위할 수 있는 방안을 강구하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 어느 때보다 예술에 대한 수요와 기대가 가득한 21세기에 새로운 국가경쟁력과 창의적, 혁신적 인적자원의 개발을 위해서는 예술 활동의 활성화가 필수적임을 확인하고, 전문 예술인은 물론 다양한 연령과 계층의 일반인들이 삶 속에서 예술을 실천할 수 있는 이상적인 제안을 탐색하였다. 먼저, 삶 속에서 예술 활동을 실천해야 하는 이론적 근거로서 예술 활동이 지니는 의미를 내재적 가치(실천전통)와 외재적 가치(생활기술)의 측면에서 조명하였다. 둘째, 삶 속에서 예술을 실천하는 방법은 심미적 경험, 탐구적 학습, 비판적 감상으로 구분하였으며, 예술 실천 유형은 예술공연과 예술교육으로 나타났다. 이러한 실천 방법 및 유형을 통해 예술 활동에 관한 지식과 안목을 넓히고, 가치와 의미에 대해 해석하고 평가할 수 있다. 마지막으로 삶 속에서 예술 활동을 활성화시키기 위한 방안으로 근접화, 다양화, 습관화를 제시하며, 다양한 예술 프로그램의 개발과 학교 및 사회 전반에서의 실천을 제안하였다.
The purpose of study was to explore the meaning, the specific ways of practice, and the type of art activity for practice in life and to find ways to enrich people’s lives through the art. In the 21 century, art has a high demand for secure national competitiveness and regarding as an essential factor to develop creative and innovative human resources. Therefore this study was to find ideal suggestion for practice the art activity in our lives include professional artist also non professionals. First, this study explores rationale for practice the art activity in our lives. The meaning of art activity was divided two dimensions; internal value (a practice), and external value (life skill). Second, specific ways of practice the art activity in our lives was divided three dimensions; aesthetic experience, explorative learning, and critical appreciation. Through these ways people can distribute knowledge about art and develop their ability to look at art. And the type of practice art activity in our lives was divided two dimensions; art performance, and art education. Lastly, as activation plans for the art activity in our lives; approximation, diversification, and habituation were suggested. The study culminates by offering future directions for developing programs and practicing of art activity in school and society all as well.
