Relationships among Self-identity, Marital Satisfaction, Social Desirability, and Sense of Happiness in Pastors` Wives

The purpose of this study was to identify the relationships of self-identity, marital satisfaction, and sense of happiness among Seventh-Day Adventist pastor s wives. The subjects of this study were 125 pastor’s wives, and statistical analysis was performed using correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis. As a result of analysis, first, there were significant positive relationships among self-identity, marital satisfaction, and subjective well-being. Second, the group who perceived that spirituality was promoted after marriage was significantly more happy. Third, self-identity had a significant positive effects on subjective well-being. Implications of these results were explored in relation to the importance of self-identity and marital satisfaction that could be taken to improve spirituality and sense of happiness. In addition, suggestions for future research were discussed.
