본 연구는 재림교회 구약학자들의 레위기 연구를 개괄하고 평가한 것이다. 로이 게인은 레위기를 중심으로 한 제의본문들의 체계와 기능에 대한 세부적인 논의를 집대성하였다. 그는 밀그롬과 초기 재림교회 구약학자들의 견해를 접목하려고 노력하였다. 제랄드 클링바일은 레위기 8장의 위임식 본문을 에마르(Emar) 의식들과 비교하면서 다층적 연구를 수행하였다. 그는 자신의 연구를 기독교의 다양한 의식 연구들로 연결하며 확장하였다. 빌프리트 바르닝은 레위기의 구조와 수사적 장치들을 분석하여 레위기가 정교한 통일성과 문학적 예술성을 가지고 있음을 입증하였다

This study aims to give an outline and brief evaluation of the contributions of the Adventist Old Testament scholars for the study of Leviticus. Roy Gane discussed in detail the system and function of the ritual texts of Leviticus. He endeavored to incorporate the view of Milgrom and those of the early Adventist Old Testament scholars. Gerald Klingbeil performed the multilevel approaches by the comparative study of the commission rituals in Lev. 8 with Emar rituals. He extended his study on the Leviticus rituals in connection with the related fields of Christianity rituals. Wilfried Warning demonstrated that Leviticus has a sophisticated unity and literary artistry by analyzing its structure and rhetorical devices.
