초등무용교육 향상을 위한 고찰

A Study for improving Elementary dance education

초등학교 무용교육은 학생들의 기초적인 학습능력 향상과 특별한 형태의 지성을 개발하는데 이용되어 질 수 있을 뿐만 아니라 청소년, 성인 장년, 노년기까지 즐겁고 건강하게 살 수 있는 지침이자 기초과정이다. 그리고 인간이 살아가는데 필요한 정신적, 정서적, 신체적, 심리적 성장의 근간이 된다고 하겠다. 초등학생들에게 무용교육이란 무엇일까? 초등학교 6년 동안의 교육과정 내에서 무용을 통해 학생들은 무엇을 얻을 수 있을까？ 또한 교사들은 어떻게 가르칠 것인가? 가 가장 큰 과제일 것이다. 초등학교 무용교육은 학생들의 기초적인 학습능력 향상뿐만 아니라 청소년, 성인, 장년, 노년기까지 즐겁고 건강하게 살 수 있는 지침이자 기초과정이 되어야 한다. 다른 모든 과목도 마찬가지겠지만 무용교육도 인간이 살아가는 데 필요한 정신적, 신체적, 심리적 성장의 근간이 되기 때문이다. 초등무용 교육의 향상을 위해서는 앞에서 말한 기초적인 움직임 교육이 잘 이루어져야 할 것이다. 이러한 필요성을 갖고 본 연구의 목적에 따라 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 첫째, 무용학습 환경조성으로써 물리적 환경으로는 무용실의 확보와 다양한 음악과 도구의 사용 그리고, 무용교사의 요건으로는 무용교육의 질적 향상을 위하여 일정기간 교사들이 수업에 활용할 수 있는 무용 학습내용을 위한 연수가 필요하다. 둘째, 학생들의 개성을 나타낼 수 있는 상상(image 떠올리기)을 통한 창작 표현활동과 학생들이 자유롭게 연출할 수 있는 리듬활동으로서 즐겁고 재미있는 프로그램의 수업내용, 그리고 평생교육의 밑거름이 될 수 있는 수업내용의 구성이 필요하다. 셋째, 연계 가능한 교육 형태를 통하여 인지적 학습과 정서교육, 사회성 발달, 그리고 인성교육의 발전을 도모할 수 있다.

Elementary dance education is used to boost learning ability and to develop specific intelligence. It also offers the guideline to lead a happy and healthy life through the life from adolescence and senescence. It can be said that elementary dance education is the base for mental, emotional, physical and psychological growth and development. The purpose of this study is to look into the helpful learning environment for dance education and teaching ability, the contents of dance class and feasible integrated education with dance education. From the study the following conclusions are drawn to meet demand for improving elementary dance education. First, the helpful learning environment for dance education includes a dance room, various music and instruments. Workshop is also emphasized to provide capable teachers and practical methods applied to dance class for a better dance education. Second, contents of dance class should include creative and expressive activities encouraging individual difference through imagery, a variety of rhythmic activities made freely by students and fun activity program, not to mention the content fundamental for lifelong education. Third, through the Integrated education with dance education students are encouraged to develop their emotion, academic skills and basic social skills.
