The Effect of the Teaching Ethics of the Pre-service Child Care Teachers on their Happiness

본 연구는 예비보육교사가 지각한 교직윤리가 행복에 미치는 영향에 대해 고찰하고자 하였다. 예비보육교사의 행복은 보육교사 일을 하고자 하는 의지를 향상시키는 중요한 요인으로 윤리 제도화는 해당 직원의 행복에 영향을 줄 수 있다. 보육교사의 윤리는 영유아와의 관계를 포함한 타인과의 긍정적인 관계를 가지게 함으로써 영유아의 행복에 영향을 줄 수 있다. 이에 예비보육교사의 사회적 배경에 따른 교직윤리와 행복의 차이 그리고 교직윤리 및 사회적 배경의 행복에 대한 영향을 고찰하였다. 91명의 예비보육교사가 연구에 참여하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 거주지에 따른 행복 총점과 행복 하위변인별 점수가 모두 유의한 차이가 나타났다. 서울 이외 지역이 서울 지역보다 높은 점수를 나타냈다. 둘째, 중다회귀분석 결과 예비보육교사의 교직윤리와 거주지는 행복에 유의한 영향을 주는 변인으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 예비보육교사의 행복 증진을 위해 예비보육교사의 교육과정에 교직윤리를 강화할 필요가 있음을 시사한다고 하겠다.

The present study aimed to examine the effect of the teaching ethics that pre-service early childhood teachers recognize and its effect on their happiness. The happiness of pre-service child care teachers can be the important factor for enhancing the willingness to work. The institutionalization of ethics had an effect on the employee happiness. The teacher s ethics can influence the happiness of children by having a positive relationship with the others, including relationships with children. This study investigated the difference between the teaching ethics and the happiness according to the social background of pre-service child care teachers and the effect that the teaching ethics and the social background have on the happiness. 91 pre-service child care teachers participated in the study. The findings were as follows. First, there was the significant difference in the total and every sub-variable score of pre-service child care teachers’ happiness according to their residence. Pre-service teachers from outside of Seoul showed higher scores than those in Seoul. Second, the results of multiple regression analysis showed that the pre-service teachers teaching ethics and the residence were significant variables affecting the happiness. This study suggests that it is necessary to strengthen the teaching ethics in the curriculum of the pre-service teachers in order to promote the happiness of the pre-service teachers.
