산업재해 이후 산재장해인의 삶의 적응에 관한 현상학적 연구: 삶의 재구축

A Phenomenological Study of Lifetime Adaptation After Industrial Accidents: Reconstruction of the Life

본 연구는 산업재해 경험 후 산업재해장해등급을 받은 산재장해인들에 대한 삶의 적응과정을 면밀히 이해하기 위하여 심층면접을 통한 현상학적 연구방법을 활용하였다. 따라서 본 연구는 “산업재해 이후 산재장해인의 삶의 적응과정은 어떠한가?” 라는 연구주제를 가지고 산재장해인이 경험한 의미들을 추출하고, 추출된 의미를 질적 연구를 위한 학문적 언어로 전환하여 산재장해인의 삶의 적응과정을 분석하였다. 2012년 7월부터 11월까지 본 연구에 자발적으로 참여하기로 동의한 6명의 연구참여자들을 심층면접 한 결과 47개의 진술을 얻었으며, 이 진술들을 11개의 주제와 4개의 패러다임으로 분류하였다. 산재장해인의 산재 경험 후 삶의 적응과정 패러다임은 ‘내 인생에 던져진 달갑지 않은 상황’, ‘나를 옭아매는 벽 앞에 주저앉음’, ‘현실적응의 다양한 모습’, ‘평생 함께 해야 하는 존재와 살아가보기’ 이었다. 또한 4개의 패러다임으로부터 최종적인 한 개의 핵심범주 ‘삶의 재구축’이 도출되었다. 이 결과를 바탕으로 산재 경험 후 산재장해인이 자신들의 삶을 보다 더 잘 적응해 나갈 수 있도록 실천적 함의와 현 제도상의 개선 및 향후 새로운 제도의 도입방향을 제언하였다.

This study, using phenomenological method, aims to deeply understand the lifetime adaptation about people with disabilities caused by industrial accidents. For this purpose, this study was conducted to find ‘how were the processes of lifetime adaptation after industrial accidents?’, by extracting the meanings of adaptation processes, and converting the extracted meanings with an academic language for qualitative study. The in-depth interviews were carried out from July to November, 2012 with the six industrial accident disabled who had consented to the participation in the study. Through the interview, 47 meaningful statements were obtained. These statements were classified into 11 themes and 4 paradigms. The 4 paradigms were ‘unwelcoming situation thrown in my life’, ‘frustration in front of the wall which tied me up’, ‘various tries for lifetime adaptation’, and ‘living with the existence that is part of my life.’These four paradigms were ultimately concluded as one core category; Reconstruction of the Life; Based on the study results, some suggestions were made how to help the industrial accident disabled adapt themselves better.
