PBL활용 다문화동화교육프로그램이 초등학생 다문화 감수성에 관한 효과

Effects of Multicultural Fairy Tale Education Program Using PBL on Elementary School Students Multicultural Sensibility

이 연구는 초등학교 5학년을 대상으로 다문화 감수성을 증진시키는 목적이 있다. 현대는 다문화사회로써 구성원 상호간의 차이와 다양성을 인정하는 자세가 필요하다. 이 점에서 초등학생의 다문화에 대한 인식 개선과 다문화 감수성 증진을 위한 교육이 필요하다. 이러한 점에서 본 연구에서는 PBL을 활용한 다문화동화교육프로그램을 통한 초등학생의 다문화인식 개선을 위한 노력을 하였으며, 연구를 통해 다문화 감수성 증진에 대한 효과를 검증하였다. 다문화동화교육프로그램의 구성은 8가지 주제로 15회 실시되었다. 연구에 사용된 측정도구는 다양성, 관계성, 보편성 영역이다. 전체문항은 32개 문항으로 구성되었으며, 자료분석은 SPSS WIN 24.0 프로그램을 사용하였다. 연구결과 주요 내용은 다음과 같다. 첫째, PBL을 활용한 다문화동화교육프로그램은 다양성 요인에 있어서 효과가 있었다. 둘째, 프로그램에 참여한 실험집단은 관계성 요인에 있어서도 의미있는 효과가 있었다. 그리고 감수성 요인에 있어서도 프로그램의 효과를 보였다. 본 연구의 결론은 다음과 같다. PBL을 활용한 다문화동화교육 수업은 초등학생의 다문화 감수성 증진에 효과가 있었다. 따라서 초등학교 교육활동에 다문화동화교육프로그램을 적용할 필요가 있다. 연구의 제언으로는 자기주도적 학습이 강조되는 시점에서 학습자의 주도적인 다문화교육은 다문화 감수성 증진에 도움이 될 것으로 판단되었다.

The purpose of this study is to improve elementary school students multicultural sensitivity. The study made efforts to improve multicultural awareness among elementary school students through the multicultural education program using problem-based learning (PBL), and verified the effectiveness of promoting multicultural sensibility. The multicultural children s fairy tale education program consisted of 15sessions that covered eight themes. The measuring instruments used in the study covered areas of diversity, relevance and universality. The complete questionnaire consisted of 32 questions, and the data analysis was performed using the SPSS WIN 24.0 program. The main results of the study are as follows. First, the PBL multicultural assimilation education program worked in diversity factors. Second, a meaningful effect on the relational factors was found. It also showed the effectiveness of the program in the sensitivity factor. The conclusions of this study are as follows. The PBL multicultural children s education classes were found to be effective in improving the sensitivity of multiculturalism among elementary school students. Therefore, it is necessary to apply a multicultural children s fairy tale education program in elementary schools. The study suggests that the learner s leading multicultural education would help improve multicultural awareness.
