동화에 기초한 노랫말 바꾸기 활동이 유아의 창의성과 음악적 태도에 미치는 효과

The effects of lyrics changing activities based on fairy tale creativity and musical attitudes of young children

본 연구는 동화에 기초한 노랫말 바꾸기 활동이 유아의 창의성에 어떠한 효과를 미치는지 알아보고자 하였다. 연구대상은 전라북도 I시에 소재한 S어린이집과 H어린이집 만 5세 유아 40명으로 실험집단 20명과 통제집단 20명을 임의 배정하였다. 실험집단은 총 14주 동안 동화에 기초한 노랫말 바꾸기 활동을 실시하였으며, 통제집단은 생활주제에 의한 활동을 실시하였다. 먼저 두 집단 간 차이를 알아보기 위하여 평균과 표준편차를 산출하고, t-검증을 실시하였으며, 사전점수를 공변인으로 한 공분산분석(ANCOVA)을 실시하였다. 연구결과, 첫째, 동화에 기초한 노랫말 바꾸기 활동은 유아의 창의성 향상에 유의미한 효과를 미쳤으며, 유창성, 융통성, 독창성, 상상력 등 하위요인 전반에 걸쳐 긍정적인 효과를 미쳤다. 둘째, 동화에 기초한 노랫말 바꾸기 활동은 유아의 음악적 태도 향상에 유의미한 효과를 미쳤으며, 탐색, 표현, 감상 등 하위요인 전반에 걸쳐 음악적 태도에 긍정적인 효과를 미쳤다. 이에 유아교육 현장에서 창의성 및 음악적 태도 증진을 위한 방법으로 동화에 기초한 노랫말 바꾸기 활동을 적극 활용할 필요가 있음을 시사한다고 하겠다.

This research aims to investigate the effects of lyrics-changing activities based on fairy tale on creativity and musical attitudes of young children. Forty-four 5-year-old children from daycare centers S and H, located in I city in Jeollabuk-do, were chosen as subjects and were divided into 2 groups: experimental and control groups, each of which had 20 children. The experimental group performed lyrics-changing activities based on a fairy tale for a total of 14 weeks and the control group performed activities based on a daily life topic. To investigate the difference between the groups, we first calculated the mean and standard deviation and performed a t-test followed by a covariance analysis (ANCOVA) with a pre score as a covariance. The results of this study are as follows: First, the lyrics-changing activities based on a fairy tale had a meaningful effect on improving not only the children`s creativity but also its subcategories such as fluency, flexibility, originality, and imagination. Second, the lyrics-changing activities based on a fairy tale had a significant effect on improving not only the musical attitude of young children but also its subcategories such as exploration, expression, and appreciation. This suggests that it is necessary to utilize the lyric replacement activity actively as a method for promoting creativity and musical attitude in early childhood education.
