자유학기제 연구주제 변화 동향 분석 : 텍스트 네트워크 분석을 적용하여

Trends Analysis of Research Topics in Free Semester System : Using Network Text Analysis

연구목적: 본 연구의 목적은 2013년부터 2019년 6월까지 연구된 자유학기제 관련 논문들의 연구주제들을 시범기, 도입기, 확대기로 나누어 텍스트 네트워크 분석을 하여 자유학기제 개념이 어떻게 변화되고 있는지를 알아보는 것이다. 연구방법: 이를 위해 2013년부터 2019년 6월까지 국내 학술지에 게재된 논문 중 자유학기제 관련 주제로 수행된 논문 352편의 주제어를 대상으로 빈도수 분석 및 텍스트 네트워크 분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과: 키워드 빈도분석 결과, 시범기에는 ‘진로’, ‘프로그램’, ‘활동’ 등의 순으로 빈도가 높았으며, 도입기에는 ‘수업’이라는 키워드 빈도가 급격히 증가했다. 확대기에는 ‘교사’ 키워드가 상위 빈도로 나타났으며, ‘정책’, ‘자유학년제’라는 키워드가 등장하였다. 주제어 간 상관관계 분석결과는 시범기에는 ‘자유학기제 프로그램’, ‘교육 프로그램’, ‘진로 프로그램’ 등의 연구가 이루어졌다. 도입기에는 ‘수업’, ‘교과’ 키워드가 핵심이 되어, ‘융합’, ‘STEAM’ 등의 하위 키워드와 연결되어 나타났다. 확대기에는 연구 주제가 ‘진로’, ‘수업’ 측면으로 각각 분산되어 나타났으며, 자유학기제 성과를 측정하고자 하는 연구가 증가하였다. 클러스터 지도 변화는 자유학기제의 개념의 변화를 가시적으로 드러내고 있었다. 시범기, 도입기를 거치며 ‘진로’관련 연구에서 ‘교과’, ‘수업’ 관련 연구들로 주제 동향이 변화했다. 확대기에는 자유학기제 개념과 목표가 명확한 방향성을 확립하지 못한 채 연구 빈도가 감소하는 양상이 나타났다. 논의 및 결론: 자유학기제 개념과 목표의 본질에 대한 더 심층적인 연구들과, 장기적이고 거시적인 관점에서 자유학기제가 학생들의 발달과 변화 그리고 학교체제의 변화과정에 대한 체계적인 연구들이 더 많이 요청된다.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to determine how the concept of free semester system has been changed by analyzing research topic trends in free semester system. Method: Research subjects were a total of 352 studies related to free semester system, which were published by KCI journals from 2013 to June 2019. This study conducted frequency analysis and network analysis on key words extracted from the title of the study. Results: As the results of key words frequency analysis, the most frequently mentioned key words were ‘career’ for trial period, ‘program’ for introduction period and ‘analysis’ for expansion period. The correlation analysis results showed that key words such as ‘free semester program’, ‘education program’ and ‘career program’ etc were frequently appeared in trial period. In the introduction period, key words such as ‘subject convergence’, ‘STEAM class’ were increased and in the expansion period, research to measure the performance of the free semester system was increased. Cluster map changes were visible in the concept of a free semester, and the frequency of the study was decreasing without establishing clear orientation of the concept and goal of a free semester. Conclusion: Theoretical research into the nature of the concepts and goals of the free semester system need to be made, and the students changes and development need to be systematically analyzed from a long-term and macro perspective.
