교육서비스 관점에서 본 대학교육 혁신 사례분석

Analysis of Innovation Cases in the University From the Viewpoint of Education Service

이 연구는 그동안의 대학교육 혁신 노력을 돌아볼 때, 이제는 교육서비스 관점을 채택할 필요가 있다는 입장으로부터 시작되었으며, 교육서비스 혁신 사례에 대한 분석과 이로부터 교육서비스과학의 관점에서 미래 대학교육 혁신을 위한 연구 아젠다를 도출하는데 궁극적인 목적을 가진다. 이를 위해 문헌분석을 통해 교육서비스 혁신을 이끄는 동인으로 시스템적 접근, 교육서비스 디자인, 서비스 중심 논리를 도출하였다. 이러한 교육서비스 혁신의 특성으로부터 교육서비스 원칙, 교육서비스 구조, 그리고 교육서비스 활동을 중심으로 분석의 틀을 설정하였다. 연구진은 총 13개의 대학교육 혁신 후보 사례 가운데 최종 분석 사례로 미네르바 스쿨과 올린 공과대학교를 선정하고 여섯 차례의 연구진 워크숍을 통해 사례를 분석하고 결과를 분석하였다. 사례분석 결과를 종합하여, 결과지향, 현장지향, 학생중심 교육의 과정, 낭비 요소를 제거하는 효율성 추구, 그리고 실제적 지식을 추구하는 설립자들의 교육철학 등을 혁신 요인으로 도출하였다. 이를 토대로 대학교육 혁신에 대한 시사점을 가치의 공동 창조 활동으로서 교육의 재개념화, 교육서비스 원칙과의 정렬로부터 발현되는 혁신, 교육서비스 혁신의 방법론으로서 교육서비스 관점의 가능성을 중심으로 논의하였다. 마지막으로 향후 교육서비스 혁신 연구의 아젠다를 제시하였다.

This paper began with the view that the education service perspectives needs to be adopted when reflecting on innovation efforts at higher education in the past. From the analysis of innovation cases based on education service perspectives, this study has the final goal of deriving the research agendas. For this purpose, systemic approach, education service design, and service dominant logic were derived as a driving force for education service innovation through literature review. From the characteristics of education service innovation, the framework of analysis is centered on education service principles, education service structure and education service activities. The researchers selected Minerva School and Orlin Institute of Technology as the final analysis cases among 13 universities candidates and analyzed the cases through six workshops. As a result, innovational factors were derived as follows: education centered on result, field, and learner, efficient policy of removing waste elements, and educational philosophy of founders pursuing practical knowledge. Based on this, the re-conceptualization of education as a co-creation activity of value, the innovation emerging from the alignment with education service principles, and the possibility of education service perspective as a methodology of education service innovation were discussed. Finally research agendas for education service innovation were suggested.
