한국 문인화 작품에 담긴 치유적 의미에 관한 고찰

A Study on the Meaning of Healing in Korean Literary Works

본 연구는 한국의 문인화 작품의 분석을 통해 문인화를 미술치료에서 활용할 수 있는 치유적 가치를 찾는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 조선시대 문인사대부들이 시와 글씨, 그림으로 자기표현을 촉진시켰던 사상적 배경과 작품 속에 담긴 의미를 해석하고자 한다. 조선시대 문인사대부들은 일상생활에서 시를 짓고 그림을 그리는 것을 즐겨하며 예술을 통해 심신의 수양을 하고자 하였다. 한국의 문인화가 문인사대부들에 의해 향유되었지만 문인화를 그들의 전유물로만 볼 수 없는 것은 그들이 문인화를 통해 추구하려 했던 가치가 자기성숙을 이루기 위함 이였다. 이것이 미술치료에서 문인화를 주목해야 하는 이유이다. 여섯 작품의 한국 문인화의 내용을 분석해서 작품에 담긴 치료적 요인을 세 가지 함의로 도출할 수 있다. 첫째, 문인화의 창작은 자기 존재에 대한 성찰을 이끌어 낼 수 있다. 둘째, 문인화는 그림 그리는 이의 핵심감정을 은유적으로 표현하게 해서 성찰을 유도하며 자신이 갖고 있는 가치관에 새로운 시각을 부여할 수 있다. 셋째, 문인화는 작품 감상을 즐기는 교류 활동으로 타인과의 소통이 활발히 이루어 질 수 있다. 본 연구의 가치는 한국의 옛 선조들이 시서화(詩書畵)를 통해 자기 치유적 삶을 영위하고자 했던 사실을 알게 된 점에 있다.

The purpose of this study was to identify the healing value of art therapy through the analysis of Korean literary works. To this end, our study intended to interpret the ideological background and the implications of the work in the Chosun Dynasty, primarily by poetry, writing, and painting. The nobles of the Chosun Dynasty enjoyed drawing, poetry, and painting in their everyday lives and wanted to cultivate mind and body through art. Although Korean literary paintings were enjoyed by literary men and women, literary paintings can not be seen only as their exclusive property, the values they intended to pursue through literary painting were aimed at attaining self-maturity. This is why it is important to pay attention to literary art in art therapy. By analyzing the contents of Korean literary works of six works, we derived the therapeutic factors contained in the works and identified three implications. First, the creation of literary work can lead to self-reflection. Second, the literary art can express the key emotions of the painter in a metaphorical way, inducing reflection and giving a new perspective to the painter s own values. Third, communication with other people can be actively carried out by literary interchange activity that involves the appreciation of works. The value of this study is significant because it reveals that the ancient ancestors of Korea tried to carry out self-healing through poetry.
