경기도 일반계 고등학교 기술․가정과 기술영역의 실험실습법 수행평가 실태

A Survey on the Performance Assessment for the Experiment and Practice Method of the Technology Section of the General High School Technology․Home Economics Subject in Gyeonggi Province

이 연구의 목적은 경기도 일반계 고등학교 기술·가정과 기술영역의 수행평가실태를 실험·실습법을 중심으로 조사하는데 있다. 경기도 국·공·사립 인문계 고등학교 160 개교의 기술 교사를 대상으로 조사한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 기술·가정과 기술영역에서의 년간 수행평가 실시 횟수는 2회 정도로 매우 제한적이었다. 이 수치는 지필 평가의 빈도에 비하면 상대적으로 낮은 것이다. 둘째, 교사들은 실험·실습법을 활용한 수행평가가 기술·가정과 기술영역에서의 바람직한 평가 방식으로 인식하고 있으나, 실제로는 소요되는 시간과 부족한 수업시 수로 인해 실험·실습법과 다른 유형의 수행평가를 활용하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 특히 담당 학급 규모가 클수록 교사들의 실험·실습을 통한 수행평가 횟수가 상대적으로 낮았으며 오히려 비전공 교사들의 실험·실습을 통한 수행평가 실시 횟수가 기술 전공 교사보다 많은 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 기술·가정과의 기술영역에서 실험·실습법을 활용한 수행 평가가 그 중요성과 필요성에도 불구하고 실제 일반계 고등학교에서는 교육 현장 여건으로 인해 위축되어 있음을 시사하는 것이다.

The purpose of this study was to examine the state of performance assessment in the technology section of the general high school Technology·Home Economics in Gyeonggi Province, especially performance assessment through experiment and practice method. The findings of the study were as follows: First, concerning a yearly performance assessment frequency, performance assessment was carried out approximately twice a year in the technology section of Technology·Home Economics. Thus, performance assessment wasn t implemented often in this section, and the percentage of that assessment was relatively lower than that of written tests. Second, the teachers viewed performance assessment through experiment and practice method as the best performance assessment method for the technology section of Technology·Home Economics, but they actually conducted the other types of performance assessment due to the lack of class time. Specifically, the teachers who were in charge of larger-sized classes made relatively less use of experiment and practice, and the teachers who didn t major in technology fulfilled performance assessment more often than those who majored in technology. These results indicated that the real educational conditions had a bad impact on the performance assessment based on the experiment and practice in general high schools in spite of its importance and necessity.
