2009 개정 기술·가정 교과의 ‘제조 기술과 자동화’ 단원에 대한 학생들의 인식

Recognition of Students about Manufacturing Technology and Automation Unit in 2009 Revised Technology·Home Economics Subject

이 연구의 목적은 2009 개정 기술․가정 교과의 ‘제조 기술과 자동화’ 단원에 대한 학생들의 인식을 구명하는데 있었다. 연구 목적을 달성하기 위하여 조사연구를 실시 하였으며, 모집단은 전국의 중학교에 재학하고 있는 3학년 학생들이다. 조사 대상으로는 학교 소재 지역별 안배를 고려하여 425명의 중학교 3학년 학생들을 선정하였다. 조사 도구는 이론적 배경과 선행연구를 기초로 하여 연구 목적에 부합되는 내용으로 연구자가 개발하였다. 조사 도구는 2개 영역으로 제작하였으며, 총 19문항으로 구성하였다. 이 연구의 결과는 다음과 같았다. 첫째, 중학생들의 ‘제조 기술과 자동화’ 단원에 대한 선호도는 보통이었으며, 남학생이 여학생보다 더 선호하였다. 이 단원을 선호하는 학생들의 가장 큰 이유는 직접만들 수 있는 실습을 좋아하기 때문이었으며, 선호하지 않는 학생들의 가장 큰 이유는 내용이 너무 이해하기 어렵기 때문이었다. 둘째, 중학생들은 이 단원을 어려워하지 않으나 소단원 내용 중 상대적으로‘ 전기전자기술’에 대하여 가장 어려워하고 있었다. 또한, 여학생이 남학생보다 이 단원을 더 어려워하고 있었다. 셋째, 중학생들의 이 단원 학습 후 기술에 대한 관심도는 보통이었으며, 남학생이 여학생보다, 학업성적이 ‘상’인 학생이 ‘하’인 학생보다 학습 후 기술에 대한 관심이 더 생겼다. 넷째, 이 단원에 대한 학습경험의 문제해결력 향상 도움 정도는 보통이었으며, 남학생이 여학생보다, 학업성적이 ‘상’인 학생이 ‘하’인 학생보다 이 단원에 대한 학습경험이 문제해결력 향상에 더 도움이 된다고 인식하고 있었다. 다섯째, 이 단원의 진로탐색 도움 정도는 보통이었으며, 남학생이 여학생보다 이 단원의 학습이 진로탐색에 더 도움이 된다고 인식하고 있었다.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the recognition of students about manufacturing technology and automation unit in 2009 revised technology․home economics subject. This study was carried out through questionnaire survey method. The population for the survey was the third grade middle school students. A survey questionnaire was developed by author. It consisted of 19 items of 2 domains. Major findings of this study were as follows: First, the preference level for manufacturing technology and automation unit of students was moderate. Second, students weren t difficult to study this unit. And female students felt this unit more difficult than male students. Third, students didn t recognize that learning this unit made them have interest in technology. And male students were more interested in technology than female students after learning this unit. Fourth, contribution level toward the improvement of problem solving ability of this unit was moderate. And male students recognized that learning this unit improved problem solving ability more than female student. Fifth, contribution level toward career exploration ability of this unit was moderate. And male students recognized that learning this unit improved career exploration ability more than female student.
