발명 영재 중학생이 지각한 부모의 양육태도와 창의적 인성과의 관계

The Relationship between Parenting Attitudes Perceived by Invention-gifted Middle School Students and Creative Personality

이 연구의 목적은 우리나라 발명 영재 중학생이 지각한 부모의 양육태도와 창의적 인성과의 관계를 규명하고, 부모의 양육태도가 발명영재 중학생의 창의적 인성에 미치는 영향력을 규명하는데 있다. 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위하여 우리나라 중학교 발명 영재 중학생을 모집단으로 하였으며, 전국 지역 교육청 산하 발명영재교육원에서 3단계 시험을 통해 선발된 중학생 발명 영재 1001명을 모집단으로 하여 총 500명의 표집하였고, 불성실 응답지를 제외한 352명의 질문지를 분석에 활용하였다. 이 연구의 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 발명 영재 중학생이 지각한 부모의 양육태도 수준은 애정, 자율, 통제, 적대의 순으로 나타났으며, 창의적 인성 수준은 비교적 높은 수준으로 나타났다. 둘째, 발명 영재 중학생이 지각한 부모의 양육태도를 애정-자율, 애정-통제, 적대-통제, 적대-자율적으로 구분하여 창의적 인성 수준의 차이를 검증한 결과 애정-자율적으로 지각한 집단의 창의적 인성 수준이 적대-통제적, 적대-자율적으로 지각한 집단보다 높았으며, 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 창의적 인성 수준이 가장 높게 나타난 애정-자율 집단 집단을 애정, 자율 점수의 중간값을 기준으로 네 집단으로 구분하여 창의적 인성 수준 차이를 검증한 결과 애정이 평균보다 높고 자율이 평균보다 높은 집단의 창의적 인성 수준이 가장 높게 나타났으며 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 있었다. 셋째, 발명 영재 중학생이 지각한 부모의 양육태도와 창의적 인성과의 상관을 살펴본 결과, 애정-자율적 양육태도와 비교적 높은 정적 상관(r=.550, p＜0.01)을 보였으며, 애정-통제적 양육태도와는 낮은 정적 상관(r=.293, p＜0.01)을 보였다. 반면, 적대-통제적 양육태도와는 낮은 부적 상관(r=-.133, p＜0.05)를 보였고, 적대-자율적 양육태도와는 통계적으로 유의미한 상관이 없었다. 넷째, 발명 영재 중학생이 지각한 부모의 양육태도의 창의적 인성에 대한 설명력은 35.7%로 나타났고, 특히 애정-자율적 양육태도 (β=0.717, P＜0.01), 애정-통제적 양육태도(β=0.014, P＜0.05)가 창의적 인성을 유의미하게 설명하는 것으로 나타났다.

The purpose of this study was to identify the relationship between parenting attitudes perceived by invention-gifted middle school students and creative personality. The specific objectives are to examine the degrees of parenting attitudes, creative personality, and to determine the differences in the levels of creative personality according to parenting attitudes. Also, this study aims to identify the correlation between parenting attitudes and creative personality and to identify how parenting attitudes predict creative personalities. The population consisted of all invention-gifted middle school students who were selected by a third-stage exam in Korea. Using a purposeful sampling technique, 500 invention-gifted middle school students from 8 areas were sampled for this study. 372 out of 500 questionnaires were returned (a 74.4% response rate), of which 356 were used for analysis after data cleaning. Based on the findings of the study, the major conclusions of this study are as follows: 1. The mean of the types of parenting attitudes was Love (3.15), Hostility (1.84), Autonomy (3.13), and Control (2.26) and the mean of creative personality was 3.55 points. 2. There were statistical differences between the levels of creative personality among the invention middle school student group perceived Love-Autonomy parenting attitude, perceived Love-Control parenting attitude, perceived Hostility-Control parenting attitude, and Perceived Hostility-Autonomy parenting attitude. The levels of creative personality of the invention middle school student group perceived Love-Autonomy parenting attitude were compared to higher levels of such as perceived Love-Control parenting attitude, perceived Hostility-Control parenting attitude, and perceived Hostility-Autonomy parenting attitude. 3. The relationship between the Love-Autonomy parenting attitude and creative personality had a positive high relationship, while the relationship between the Hostility-Control parenting attitude and creative personality had a negative low relationship. 4. The level of creative personality of middle school students was explained mostly by Love-Autonomy parenting attitude and Love-Control parenting attitude.
