실과(기술ㆍ가정) 교과에서의 인성교육 방안 탐색

A Plan on the Character Education in Practical Arts(TechnologyㆍHome Economics) Education

본 연구는 실과(기술ㆍ가정) 교육에서의 인성교육 내용요소를 추출ㆍ분석하여 인성교육 지도 방안을 탐색하고자 하는 것이다. 이를 위해서는 여러 학자들의 이론에 근거한 인성 및 인성교육의 개념을 조작적으로 정의하고, 일반적인 인성교육 덕목과 내용요소를 추출하였다. 이를 바탕으로 실과(기술ㆍ가정) 교과에서의 인성교육 내용요소 분석 준거를 설정한 후, 2009 개정 실과(기술ㆍ가정) 교육과정에서의 인성교육 내용요소를 추출ㆍ분석함으로써 교과 교육을 통한 인성교육의 가능성과 그 지도 방안에 대해 논의하였다. 그 결과 실과(기술ㆍ가정) 교과에서는 인성교육에 대한 접근이 매우 용이한 교과임이 드러났으며, 일반적인 인성교육의 내용 요소인 신뢰성, 존경, 책임, 공정성, 배려, 시민의식, 그리고 감수성과 심미성까지도 포괄하는 교육이 가능함을 탐색하였다. 따라서 학교 교육에서 실과(기술ㆍ가정) 교과는 더 이상 뒷전에 밀려나 있는 교과가 아닌, 인성 교육의 선두 주자로서의 역할을 해야 함을 제안하였다. 이에 본 연구는 실과(기술ㆍ가정) 교육을 통한 인성교육의 실행 근거를 확고히 하는 계기가 될 것이며, 앞으로 실과(기술ㆍ가정) 교과를 통한 인성교육의 활성화에 크게 기여할 것이다.

The purpose of this study is to search for the instructional plan on the character education by abstracting and analysing the point of character education contents at practical arts(technologyㆍhome economics) education. For this, first of all, this study define conception of ‘character’ and ‘character education’ systematically and abstracted general virtue of character education and contents. Next, after setting up analysis standard of character education contents based on this, this study discuss about the plan and the possibility of character education from practical arts(technologyㆍhome economics) education by abstracting and analysing character education contents from curriculum of practical arts education which is revised in 2009. As a result, from practical arts(technologyㆍhome economics) education, it is reveal that this education is very easy to access on character education and it is possible to educate general character education contents-reliability, respect, caring, responsibility, trustworthiness, fairness, citizenship, sensitivity and aesthetic. Thus, from school education, the practical arts(technologyㆍhome economics) education is not an education which is discriminated from behind at all. This study suggest this education should plays a role as a pacemaker of character education today. For this, this study will serve as a momentum to firmly establish basis of action of character education by educating and from now on, this will contribute to vitalization of character education by the subject practical arts education.
