공학기술에 기초한 융합교육 연구 동향분석 -국내 학술지 논문을 중심으로-

Analysis of Convergence-Education Research Trends Based on Engineering Technology - Focusing on the Paper of Domestic Academic Journals -

본 연구의 목적은 공학기술에 기초한 융합교육 관련 논문 분석을 통하여 공학기술 중심의 융합교육 동향을 탐색하고, 그 특징 및 흐름을 살펴봄으로써 앞으로의 공학기술 중심의 융합교육 연구의 발전에 도움을 주고자 함이다. 본 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위해 공학기술 관련 국내 5종의 학술지를 대상으로 분석하였다. 국내 5종 학술지는 공학기술 관련 학회지로서 학회지 발간 호부터 2016년 4월 30일까지를 기준으로 한국실과교육학회지, 한국기술교육학회지, 실과교육연구, 대한공업교육학회지, 공학교육연구를 대상으로 하였다. 학회지 분석 결과 전체 83편중 각 학회지 별로 10%이상의 융합교육 관련 논문이 발표된 것으로 볼 수 있었다. 특히 한국기술교육 학회지에서 가장 많은 논문이 발표 되고 있었다. 이는 실과교육보다 중등교육에서 더 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다는 것을 알 수 있으며, 연구자별 분석 결과에서도 중학교 교사가 초등학교 교사보다 연구자가 많았다. 연구 대상에 있어 문헌분석이 가장 높게 나타났으며, 연구 방법에 있어서 대부분의 융합교육 연구에서 교육 동향분석, 프로그램 개발 및 효과 등의 연구가 이루어지고 있기 때문에, 양적연구가 높은 비율을 차지하고 있었다. 융합교육에 대한 연구로는 평가 및 효과에 대한 검증을 가장 많이 실시하였고, 연구자 별 분석결과는 단독 연구 및 공동 연구 모두 교수 연구자가 가장 많았으며, 공동 연구의 경우는 현장교사가 많았다. 이는 대부분의 STEAM 교육 연구에서 교육 현장과 연계되어 연구가 이루어지고 있기 때문에, 단독연구보다 공동연구로 진행되고 있음을 확인할 수 있었다.

The purpose of this study was to search for the trend of convergence education centered on engineering technology by analyzing thesis related to convergence education based on engineering technology, to examine its characteristic and flow and to contribute to the development of researches on convergence education centered on engineering technology in the future. To achieve the purpose of this study, 5 types of domestic academic journals related to engineering technology were analyzed. The 5 domestic academic journals, as academic journals related to engineering technology were Journal of Korean Practical Arts Education, The Korean Journal of Technology Education, Practical Arts Education Research, The Journal of Korean Institute of Industrial Education and Engineering Education Research based on the journal’s published edition till April 30th 2016. As a result of analyzing the journals, out of 83 volumes in total, more than 10% per academic journal contained thesis related to convergence education. In particular, the most number of thesis were being published in The Korean Journal of Technology Education. This indicates that researches are being conducted more actively in the secondary education than practical arts education and in the analysis result per researcher, there were more researchers who were middle-school teachers than elementary school teachers. With regards to the subject of the study, literature analysis was indicated to the highest and with regards to the research method, researches such as education trend analysis, program development and effects were being conducted in majority of convergence education researches so quantitative researches took up a large part. As for researches related to convergence education, verifications on the assessment and effects were conducted the most and according to the analysis result per researcher, the number of professor researches was the highest in both independent research and joint research. In case of joint research, there were many field teachers. This confirms that as researches are conducted in connection with education sites in the majority of STEAM education researches, joint researches were being conducted rather than independent researches.
