The purposes of this study are not only analyzing the feature of technology education goals and contents but also seeking new ways to cope with the rapid changes in the 21st century information technology society aggressively. Based upon the analysis in this study, three suggestions are offered. a) Technology & home economics education should be divided into two separate subjects on the 8th curriculum amendment. b) Technology education should have more classes in a week. c) The education goals and education contents should show a distinctive feature of technology education. Moreover, two more suggestions are added to get more support for technology education. a) The research for education goals, contents linked with teaching method should be stimulated. Considering establishment of a discrete identity of technology education and better technology education in school, the systematic and continual research are needed. Also, this study should be supported for better technology education in school and scientific research. b) Study and training programs will be developed to promote understanding of technology education curriculum. Furthermore, those programs will be used to link with the research mentioned above with the supports of Metropolitan, Provincial office of education and technology education society for the research.
