국내·외 대학의 기술교사 양성교육과정 탐색

Exploratoin of Pre-service Technology Teacher Curriculum in Korea and Foreign Countries

The purpose of this study was to explore and compare the pre-service technology teacher curriculum in Korea and foreign countries. Certification of technology teacher had been supplied mainly at the department of technology education of an university. In Korea, there are three universities with department of technology education for undergraduate teacher license course. To graduate at the university of technology education department, student should get the credits of 150, 140, and 134, at Chungnam National University, Korea National University of Education, and Daebul University, respectively. The 3 universities have a fundamental concept about department of technology education s curriculum originated from Jackson s Mill Industrial Arts Curriculum Theory (JMIACT) which consist of manufacturing, construction, transportation, and communication technology. A model of pre-service technology teacher curriculum was proposed. In United States, 62 institutions have a teacher license program of technology education. But, only 32 of them were accredited by National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) with ITEA. Finally, technology education program of Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University, Ohio State University, North Carolina State University, Illinois State University, and Aichi University of Education(Japan) were explored and compared.
