The purpose of this study was to prospect the future of technology education, with an emphasis on the development of technology education. To accomplish the purpose scenario planning method was used, and two axes - ‘professional capability’ axis and ‘leading power to reform’ axis- were established. In this study four scenarios as the future of technology education were identified. Four scenarios were ‘take off’ scenario, ‘progress by degrees or standstill’ scenario, ‘rich in outward but poor in substance’ scenario and ‘retrogression’ scenario. To pursue ‘take off’ scenario of technology education, ‘leading power to reform’ was required.
