The purpose of this study was to find the effects of project method on the academic achievement in the unit of ‘Making a Moving Object of TechnologyHome Economics subject. In this study, the subject was second grade students at G middle school in Gwangin-gu, Seoul. The project method was planned in practical training of the unit Making a Moving Object . To analyse the effects of project method, academic achievement was divided into cognitive, affective, psychomotor domain areas. The statistical techniques used in the study were mean, standard deviation, t-test using the SPSS WIN(ver 10.0). The main results of this study were as follows; First, the researchers could reconfirm the importance and the need of practical training through the project method in the unit Making a Moving Object . Second, the project method helped the students to improve cooperation and responsibility in the process of choosing the main idea and roles through group discussion. Third, the project method helped students to improve their academic achievement in the psychomotor domain in the process of researching and analyzing the data to solve its tasks in practical training of the unit Making a Moving Object .
