중도장애 학생의 성인기로의 성공적인 전환을 위한 계획과 실행 과정 및 과제

A Study on Planning and Implementation Process and Tasks for Successful Transition of Students with Severe Disabilities

특수교육을 받고 졸업한 장애학생들의 성인기 실업과 독립적인 생활 운영 능력 결여ㆍ사회적 경험의 제한성ㆍ지역사회 활동 참여의 열악성ㆍ평균 보다 높은 범죄율 등의 문제를 해결하기 위한 학령기에서 성인기로 전환 시기에 대한 지원이 강조되었다. 취업과 관련해서 소외될 가능성이 있는 중도장애인에게 있어 취업은 재정적뿐만 아니라 권리적인 보장 측면에서 고려되어야 한다. 따라서 이들에 대한 전환 계획과 그 실행은 특히 더 강조되고 있다. 전반적인 영역에서 장기간 연속적인 지원을 요하는 중도장애 학생의 성인기로의 성공적인 전환을 위한 그리고 취업을 가능하게 하기 위한 전환의 구성요인과 그 절차ㆍ구체적인 교수 내용 및 방법 등 전환과 관련된 전반적 내용을 탐색해 보았다. 결론적으로 중도장애인의 전환의 성공을 위해 지속적으로 강조되어야 할 방향을 평생 교육과 직업ㆍ주거ㆍ지역사회 내의 관계성ㆍ자기 옹호 기술면에서 제시해 보았다.

The support system for persons with disabilities was needed emergently who graduated from high school, and who showed the unemployment or underemployment of adulthood, the deficits of independent life management skills, the limitations in social experiences, the poor participation in community activities, and the above-average in criminal rates. The transition planning and implementation to solve these problems was suggested which included with a sets of comprehensive services and experiences, defined as outcome-directed process. Especially, the students with severe disabilities need to protect the right of employment and not to exclude from the employment, because they had a lot of limitations in many areas. Based on theses transition needs of severe disabilities, the components, procedures of transition, and concrete instructional methods were investigated. According to the results of investigations, further act-directions of life-long education, employment, residence, relationship of neighbors in community, self-advocacy were suggested.
