전환교육의 모형에 관한 일 연구

A Study on the Transition Education Models

This study showed the theoretical background of transition education and the problem of various transition education models in both broad and narrow concepts. The transition education model is what systematically described educational activity and service offered to help the handicapped person who transferred from one situation to another. The purpose of transition education is to promote proper transition from school to society such as an individual student s integrated employment activities and education, service for an adult and independent life or society. The transition education models developed until now are the pattern of narrow concept and broad concern, the former is the model developed on the basis of transition education concept of beginning which largely focused on job transition at high school level, meanwhile, the latter is the comprehensive model for social integration, focused on transition such as the employment through all life or various school levels and leisure and participation In community. The vocational guidance-oriented transition education models belonging to the narrow concept are as follows: Wills model focused on adult employment patterns Wehman s model focused on the important result of transition education program in employment The student-oriented model emphasized a student s positive participation The aims of transition education belonging to the broad concept models are as follows: Halpern s model emphasized total aspects for the integration of local community Brolin s life-oriented transition model Sitlington s transition education model
