One of the most important the factors of employment for persons with hearing disabilities is communication skill with other people. It is also important for work adjustment. In the workplace, to maximize desirable personal relations as well as accurate understanding of work contents, methods, supervision, the appropriate expression and control of their feelings, proper etiquette, and understanding of their actions are necessary. However, persons with hearing disabilities, who use sign language as a means of main communication conflicts and troubles can be encounter frequent in the relationships with other persons without hearing disabilities or instructions of work contents, methods, etc. Therefore, the appointment and arrangement of sign language interpreters are urgently needed in companies hiring persons with hearing disabilities. The purpose of this study is to invest support strategies for better sign language services for work adjustment of persons with hearing disabilities through findings of general employment conditions, such as the work type of persons with hearing disabilities, the length of maintaining their work, the tendency of quitting their jobs, and their work adjustment based on the provision of the sign language support services in work settings. The participants of this study were composed of persons with hearing disabilities who has worked at the companies providing sign language services in the following geographic are as of Seoul, Busan, Daegu, Incheon, Daejeon, Ulsan. A questionnaire was developed by the researcher based on the literature focusing on the work adjustment for persons with disabilities, and the collected data were analyzed using SPSSWIN 10.0(Statistical Package for Social Science). The results of this study are as follows; First, persons with disabilities work mostly in the manufacturing industry by themselves or by the introduction of their friends. As a matter of work adjustment, the length of maintaining their work showed that persons for over five years were 26.6% contrary to existent research results. The most significant reason of quitting their jobs is income, but in a group which was not provided with sign language interpretation services, income problem>disregard of disabled persons by peers and seniors>communication problem>inferiority of working conditions>hopelessness in promotion, etc. were placed in order. It showed that the communication problem of persons with hearing disabilities is a prioritized task to be settled.
