중학생이 인식하는 마이스터 고등학교 이미지 분석

Image Analysis of Meister High School Recognized by Middle School Student

이 연구의 목적은 마이스터 고등학교에 대해서 중학생이 인식하고 있는 이미지를 분석하여 마이스터 고등학교의 지속적인 발전과 안정적인 정착을 위한 기초 자료를 제공하는 것이다. 연구의 모집단은 2012년 교육통계연보를 기준으로 전국의 중학교 3학년 학생을 대상으로 하였다. 표집은 협조를 허락한 학교를 대상으로 2차 군집표집을 통하여 50개 학교의 3학년 한 학급씩 선정하였다. 자료 수집을 위한 조사 도구는 Osgood 외(1957)가 제안한 의미분별법 조사도구를 사용하였으며, 전문가 검토를 통하여 11개의 형용사 군을 선정하여 조사지를 개발하였다. 자료의 수집은 방문과 우편을 통하여 이루어졌고, 총 1,441매의 설문 조사지를 배포하였으며, 그 중 1,198매가 회수되어 83.14%의 회수율을 나타내었다. 불성실한 응답을 제외한 979매의 설문 응답이 분석에 활용되었다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 20 Statistics 프로그램을 사용하여 분석하였다. 이 때 통계적 유의수준은 .05로 수준으로 설정하였다. 이 연구의 주요 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 현재 중학교 3학년 학생들은 마이스터 고등학교에 대해서 강하고, 능동적이며, 중요하고, 가치 있으며, 갈끔하고, 재미있으며, 진취적이라는 긍정적 이미지와 전문성 강조에 따른 복잡하고 어렵다는 이미지를 함께 갖고 있었다. 둘째, 성별에 따라서 남학생의 경우 여학생에 비해서 믿을 수 있으며, 중요하다는 이미지가, 여학생은 남학생에 비해서 능동적이다라는 이미지가 더 높게 형성되어 있다. 셋째, 마이스터 고등학교로의 진학을 고려하고 있는 학생의 경우, 중요하고, 가치있으며, 깔끔하고, 재미있으며, 진취적이라는 이미지가 타 학교로의 진학을 고려하는 학생들에 비해 더 강하게 형성되어 있다. 넷째, 마이스터 고등학교에 대한 진로 교육을 받은 학생의 경우, 마이스터 고등학교에 대한 진로 교육을 받지 못한 학생들에 비해서 중요하고, 가치 있으며, 깔끔하며, 재밌고, 진취적이다라는 이미지가 더 강하게 형성되어 있다. 다섯째, 마이스터 고등학교에 대한 정보 획득 정도가 높을수록, 강하고, 믿을 수 있으며, 중요하고, 가치 있으며, 깔끔하고, 재미있으며, 진취적이라는 이미지가 더 강하게 형성되어 있다.

The purpose of this study is to provide informations and suggestions for right concept and identity establishment of Meister high school, to identify recognition of Meister high school, to analyze image of Meister high school recognized by middle school student. The population was all middle school third year students in Korea. Using random sampling technique, 50 classes of 61 schools were sampled for the study. A survey questionnaire used Semantic Differential(SD) suggested by Osgood et. al.(1957). SD consisted of a number of adjective pairs, finally, this study used 11 adjective pairs to have validity. 1,198 out of 1,441 questionnaire were returned (a return rate of 83.14%), among which 979 were used for the analysis after data cleaning. All data analysis was accomplished using the SPSS 20.0 Win. Based on the finding of the study, the major results of this study were as follows : 1. The difference images of Meister high school between female and male students were only statistically significant in 3 items of 11 items. 2. The difference images of Meister high school among that hope for going on to the high school of education were statistically significant in 8 items of 11 items. This results seem to appear homogeneity that they have similar purpose which find employment. 3. It was just 12% that receive career education of Meister high school. It is necessary to accomplish and expand career education of Meister high school for proper career education from middle school, to realize career exploration and decide one s career path based on one s specialty. 4. The difference images of Meister high school among that different awareness for Meister high school were statistically significant in 7 items of 11 items. It is necessary to develop guide lines or strategies of effective measures for improvement of sure recognition.
