마이스터고등학교 학생들이 인식하는 진로교육 실태

A Study on Career Perceptions of Meister High School Students

이 연구는 마이스터고 학생들의 진로교육 실태를 조사한 것으로 마이스터고 학생들을 대상으로 하는 진로교육 실태에 대한 정보를 축적하고, 마이스터고 진로교육의 효과적인 운영을 위한 개선 방안을 모색하여 유용한 기초 정보를 제공하는데 궁극적인 목적이 있다. 이 연구의 목적을 달성하고자 전국 21개 마이스터고에 재학 중인 학생을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였으며, 설문도구는 진로 선택 동기(4문항), 진로교육운영 유형(2문항), 진로교육 정보(3문항), 진로교육 프로그램 문제점 및 개선사항(2문항)으로 구성되었고, 회수된 설문지 중 398부를 최종분석에 활용하였다. 설문지는 빈도 분석, 교차 분석 및 x2 분석을 실시하였다. 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 마이스터고의 진학 이유는 취업을 통한 경제적인 독립이 가장 높게 나타났으며, 진학에 영향을 준 사람은 학부모였다. 또한 학생들의 고민은 취업과 진학에 많은 비중을 차지하고, 졸업 후 진로계획으로는 전공분야에 취업에 대한 선호도가 높게 나타났다. 둘째, 마이스터고의 진로교육은 직업·진로교과를 통해 이루어진다고 인식하고 있으며, 진로상담 횟수는 2-3회가 가장 높게 나타났다. 셋째, 진로교육 희망 상대로 진로상담교사를 선호하고, 진학 시 원하는 정보는 장래 전망안내, 취업 시 원하는 정보는 직업 적성 안내가 가장 높았다. 넷째, 마이스터고 학생들은 마이스터고 진로교육 프로그램의 문제점으로 진로교육 전담교사가 부족과 단발적인 프로그램 운영으로 인식하고 있으며, 진로교육 시 바라는 점은 견학 및 현장 실습이 높게 나타났다.

The present study is to offer useful information and accumulate career education situation through analyzing the students’ perception of career education in meister high schools in South Korea. The students in 21 domestic meister high school as survey samples participated in this study. The questionnaires are consisted of job choice motivation (4 questions), career education operation type (2 questions), information for career education (3 questions), problem and improvement in career education (2 questions) were surveyed to study the actual conditions in career education. Frequency analysis, Cross-tabulation analysis and Chi-square test were employed. First, the reason why students want to enter a meister high school is to escape financial difficulties through getting a new job. The people who influence on students life are parents. Moreover, most students agonize about their career pathway, such as entering university and getting a job in the future. They prefer to get a new job after graduating meister high school. Second, the students in meister high school recognized the career education in meister high school is led by the vocational and career education class. The number of career counseling was done two or three times. Third, the students prefer to learn career education from a career counseling teacher. Prospective students for university want to find the information about future vision. The vocational aptitude test was seemed to be higher by most job seekers. Forth, when it comes to the problem of career education program in meister high school, it is caused by the lack of full time teachers population in career education and the temporary program operation.
