중등 기술 교과서 전기 관련 단원의 남ㆍ북한 비교

Comparison of Electricity related Chapter in the Technology Textbooks of Middle School between South and North Korea

이 연구의 목적은 남한과 북한의 중학교 기술 교과서에서 전기 관련 단원에 관한 비교를 통해 남ㆍ북한의 차이점을 살펴보는데 있다. 이를 위해 남한은 중학교 기술ㆍ가정 3학년 교과서 전기 영역을 그리고 북한은 고등중학교 5학년 기계 및 전기기본 교과서의 전기편을 5개 범주로 비교 분석 하였다. 분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 사진, 그림, 삽화 등의 자료가 남한의 기술 교과서는 다양하게 컬러로 제시하는 반면 북한은 흑백 인쇄되어 있으며 인쇄 상태가 좋지 못하고, 행간, 자간이 좁고행 당 글자 수와 쪽 당 줄 수를 많이 하여 내용 밀도가 높았다. 둘째, 교과서의 구성으로 단원 학습 목표 제시, 단원 요약 및 익힘 문제 등이 남한의 기술교과서는 짜임새가 있는 반면 북한은 내용 중심의 단조로운 형식이었다. 셋째, 학습 내용에 있어서 남한의 기술 교과서는 회로 시험기를 이용한 측정, 가전 기기의 동작 원리와 점검으로 제한적으로 제시된 것에 반해, 북한은 전기에 관한 전체적 영역을 제시하고, 특히 전기 기기 영역을 비중 있게 다루고 있었다. 넷째, 남한의 기술 교과서는 다양한 화보를 제시한 경우가 많은 반면 북한의 교과서는 적은 수의 화보를 흑백으로 수록하였으며 인쇄 상태도 좋지 않았다. 다섯째, 남북한 교과서의 전기 관련 용어 중 상이한 것은 79개 조사되었으며 남한은 한자어와 외래어가 전체의 80% 정도로 사용 빈도가 높았다. 북한 역시 한자어에 대한 비중이 전체의 50% 정도로 높았으나 외래어보다는 우리말 비중이 높았다.

The purpose of this study is for examining learning contents of a technology education and its difference between two South and North Korea. To achieve the goal, the electricity&electronics technology chapter from Technology-Home Economic textbook for the middle school 3rd grade students in South and the electricity chapter from Basic Mechanics and Electricity textbook for the Junior-high school 5th grade in North were analogized. The results of the analysis are as follows: First, while various colorful materials such as picturesare presented in the South Korean textbook, print-condition of North Korean textbook is not good quality with black-and-white printing and spaces between line and letters are narrow. Second, South textbook has well-organized in its structure from the learning goal for each chapter via chapter summary and to review problems. However, North textbook is organized in a simple form consisted of emphasizing learning contents through Kim, Il-Sung or Kim, Jeong Il’s lessons or quoted saying. Third, South Korean textbook tend to help students can learn basic technical knowledge for daily life and cultivate various technical knowledge. In contrast to, the electricity chapter from North Korean textbook widely covers about electricity especially, electrical equipment part has higher degree of focus than the others. Fourth, South Korean textbook was presented with various contents and many pictures. While South Korean textbook was printed in black and white and pictorial status was also poor. Fifth, 79 different terms related to electricity are used in the textbooks between South and North Korea, and actually, terms used in South Korea has high frequency of using borrowing words from foreign languages including Chinese characters as well as its 80% of total.
