부부상담사로서 발달 초기 단계에 있는 비혼 여성상담사의 부부상담 경험

Marital Counseling Experience of Unmarried Women Counselors in the Early Stages of Development

본 연구는 부부상담사로서 발달 초기 단계에 있는 비혼 여성상담사의 부부상담 경험을 탐구하기 위하여 수행되었다. 연구 참여자는 상담 경력이 5년 이상이면서 부부상담 경험이 10사례 미만인 7명의 비혼 여성 상담사였다. 자료수집기간은 2019년 3월부터 7월까지이며 참여자당 총 2회의 심층면담을 실시하였다. 자료분석은 van Manen의 해석학적 현상학 방법을 적용하였으며 참여자의 경험에 대한 탐구 및 반성적 글쓰기를 하였다. 연구 결과 4개의 주제와 15개의 하위 주제가 도출되었다. 4개의 주제는 <낯선 상담영역에서의 경험들>, <비혼 상담사에 대한 차가운 시선>, <전문성을 갖추기 위한 노력들>, <부부상담 후의 경험과 소회>로 나타났다. 본 연구결과는 부부상담사로서 발달 초기 단계에 있는 비혼 상담사의 부부상담 경험을 드러냄으로써 부부상담사로서의 상담자 발달 과정을 이해할 수 있는 틀을 제공할 것이다.

Objectives: This study explores the marital counseling experience of unmarried women counselors in the early stages of their development as marital counselors. The participants include seven counselors who have experience in personal counseling of more than five years and marital counseling of fewer than 10 cases. Methods: Data were collected through multiple in-depth interviews with each participant between March and July 2019. Data analysis, conducted applying the analytical phenomenological method derived from Van Manen, includes experience meaning composition and reflective writing. Results: The results of the study are derived from four topics: “Strange area for counseling”; “Cynical view of unmarried counselor”; ”Efforts to be professional”; and “Experience and Impression after counseling”, as well as from fifteen subtopics. Conclusions: The result of this study provide support for couple counseling experience at the beginning of unmarried woman counselors’ careers, further allowing for better understanding of improvement processes for couple counselors.
