We report on a case of fatal disseminated cryptococcosis in a 62-year-old female with alcoholic liver cirrhosis who presented with generalized weakness, slowed speech, and inappropriate behavior. She was diagnosed with cryptococcemia, cryptococcal meningitis, and peritonitis on day 6 of admission. Despite adequate treatment, the patient developed multisystem organ failure and eventually expired. In cases where cryptococcal infections are not treated with anti fungal agents within 48 hours, the prognosis is bleak and the mortality rate is extremely high. Therefore, rapid diagnosis and administration of antiflingal agents is essential for successful treatment.
