발달장애를 지닌 형제자매의 유무에 따른 비장애 중학생의 심리적 특성

A Comparison of Psychological Traits of Middle School Students without Disabilities According to Status of Siblings with Developmental Disabilities

본 연구는 발달장애를 지닌 형제자매의 유무에 따라 비장애 중학생의 심리적 특성 차이는 어떠한지 알아보는데 목적이 있다. 연구의 대상은 부산시와 경상남도에 거주하고 있는 발달장애를 지닌 형제자매가 있는 비장애 중학생 27명과 발달장애 형제자매가 없는 비장애 중학생 29명이다. 비장애 중학생의 심리적 특성을 비교하기 위하여 표준화 성격진단검사를 사용하였다. 수집된 자료는 독립표본 t검증을 이용하여 분석하였으며 구체적인 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 발달장애를 지닌 형제자매의 유무에 따라 비장애 중학생이 보이는 성격적 특성은 책임감과 자신감 영역에서 유의미한 차이가 있었다. 즉, 발달장애를 지닌 형제자매가 있는 비장애 중학생이 발달장애 형제자매가 없는 비장애 중학생보다 책임감은 높았으며 자신감은 더 낮게 나타났다. 둘째, 비장애 중학생의 정서적 특성은 우울조절력에서만 유의미한 차이를 보였고, 발달장애를 지닌 형제자매가 있는 비장애 중학생이 발달장애 형제자매가 없는 비장애 중학생보다 우울조절력이 더 높은 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 비장애 중학생의 부적응적 특성은 스트레스지수와 타인에 대한 의식 영역에서 유의미한 차이가 있었다. 발달장애를 지닌 형제자매가 있는 비장애 중학생이 발달장애 형제자매가 없는 비장애 중학생보다 스트레스 지수가 높았으며, 타인에 대한 의식도 높은 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구에서 확인된 결과를 중심으로 발달장애가 있는 형제자매를 둔 비장애중학생의 심리적 특성에 대해 차별화된 정서적 지원방안을 제시하고 교육적 시사점을 논의하였다.

The purpose of this study was to compare the psychological traits of middle school students without disabilities according to their status of siblings with developmental disabilities. The participants were 27 middle school students with developmental disability siblings and 29 middle school students without developmental disability siblings living in Busan and Gyeongsangnam-do. The collected data were analyzed by using descriptive statistics, t-test. The results were as follows. First, as a result of comparing the personality traits of the middle school students without disabilities according to their status of siblings with developmental disabilities, it was found that ‘responsibility and ’confidence’ showed a significant difference, but it was found that ‘stability’, ‘extroversion’ and ‘directedness’ showed no significant difference. Second, as a result of comparing the emotional traits of the middle school students without disabilities according to their status of siblings with developmental disabilities, it was found that ‘depression regulation’ showed a significant difference, but it was found that ‘anxiety regulation’, ‘self-assertiveness’, ‘life satisfaction’ and ‘interpersonal ability’ showed no significant difference. Third, as a result of comparing the maladaptive traits of the middle school students without disabilities according to their status of siblings with developmental disabilities, it was found that ‘stress index’ and ‘other-consciousness’ showed a significant different, but it was found that ‘acting-out tendency’ showed no significant difference.
