활용가능교실의 국내·외 동향 비교 및 효율적 활용방안 연구

A Study on the Domestic and Foreign Trends and the Efficient Usage Plan of the Utilizable Classroom

최근 학교내 사용하지 않는 교실이나 시설을 지자체 등이 요구하는 공공시설의 확보와 같은 지역수요에 대응하기 위한 다양한 활용방안의 모색과 동시에, 학교 교육 이외의 용도로 사용하려 한다는 측면에 대한 일부의 부정적인 인식을, 향후 활용가능한 차원을 지향하는 보다 긍정적인 측면으로 개선시켜야 한다는 필요성도 함께 대두되고 있는 시점이다. 이에 정부는 학교내 사용하지 않는 교실에 대한 여러 표현들 중에서 ‘활용가능교실’이라는 용어를 새롭게 사용하려고 하고 있다. 이는 유휴교실, 전환 가능교실, 남는 교실, 사용 예정교실 등으로 다양하게 불리고 있는 여러 표현들을 가급적 하나로 정리하여 사용하는 것이 필요하다는 요청 때문이기도 하다. 앞으로 활용가능교실에 대한 정의에 대해 여러 분야의 논의를 통해 원만하게 정리되어 사용되기를 기대하는 것도 필요한 시점이라고 생각한다. 이에 활용가능교실의 동향과 국내·외의 동향 고찰을 통해, 앞으로 학교내 활용가능교실의 효율적 사용방안을 찾아보고자 한다.

It is at a time when a variety of methods for using classrooms that are not used in schools are emerging such as securing public facilities for local governments and local residents. At the same time, there is also a need to improve some negative perception of the use of facilities in schools outside of school education to a more positive aspect toward future utilization. In response, the government is trying to use the term utilizable classroom among many expressions about unused classrooms in schools. This is also due to the need to organize and use a variety of expressions called unused classrooms, convertible classrooms, spare classrooms, and scheduled classrooms. Therefore, it is not bad to expect the definition of a utilizable classroom to be smoothly organized and used through discussions in various fields. Through a review of the utilizable classroom trends and domestic and international trends, the school plans to find efficient ways to use utilizable classroom in the future.
