임상실습에서 경험하는 응급상황에 대한 간호대학생의 인식

Nursing Students’ Recognitions of Emergency Situations During Clinical Practice

본 연구는 간호 대학생이 임상실습기간 중에 경험하게 되는 응급상황에 대한 인식을 파악하기 위해 시도되었다. 연구방법은 인간의 경험적 본질을 판단중지를 통해 파악하는 현상학적 연구방법으로 적용되었다. 연구 참여자는 임상실습 중 응급상황을 경험한 적이 있는 4학년 간호 대학생으로 연구의 목적을 이해하고 연구에 참여할 의사가 있는 11인을 편의 추출하여 포커스 인터뷰하였다. 자료 분석은 현상학적 연구방법 중 Colaizzi(1978)가 제시한 방법으로 분석 절차에 맞게 분석하였으며 분석결과 64개의 의미구성으로부터 12개의 주제묶음, 4개의 범주로 도출되었다. 4개의 범주는 ‘변화의 원동력이 된 신선한 충격’, 성장을 위한 발돋움 , 새롭게 정립되는 직업관‘, 응급상황 해결을 위해 요구되는 역량 으로 도출되었다. 본 연구결과는 간호대학생의 임상실습 중 경험하게 되는 응급상황에 대한 인식의 이해를 높임으로서 간호 대학생들의 응급상황 경험에 대한 이해를 돕고 효과적인 간호교육전략을 마련하는데 유용하게 활용될 것이라 기대한다.

This study was conducted using the phenomenological research methodology in order to investigate nursing students’ recognitions of emergency situations that they experienced during clinical practice. After convenience sampling from 11 senior nursing students, who experienced emergency situations during clinical practice and understood the study purpose and were willing to participate in the study, a focus interview with them was performed. The data collected were analyzed according to the analysis procedure, using the phenomenological research methodology proposed by Colaizzi(1978) and 12 theme clusters and 4 categories were extracted from 64 meaning constructions. The 4 categories are a refreshing jolt as the driving force of change , a takeoff for growth , a newly established view of occupation and competences required for resolving emergency situations . It is anticipated that this study finding will be helpful in understanding nursing students’ experience of emergency situations and developing effective nursing education strategies by improving the understanding of nursing students’ recognitions of emergency situations during clinical practice.
