북한이탈주민 어머니의 자아분화와 양육태도의 관계에서 사회적지지의 매개효과

A Study on the Mediating Effect of Social Support on the Relationship between the Self-differentiation of North Korean Defector Mothers and Their Parenting Attitude

본 연구는 아동기를 둔 북한이주민가정의 어머니를 대상으로 자아분화와 양육태도, 사회적 지지의 관계성을 알아보고, 자아분화와 양육태도의 관계에서 사회적지지의 매개효과를 살펴보는 것을 목적으로 한다. 본 연구의 연구대상자는 서울 및 경기, 인천 지역에 거주하는 북한이탈주민 어머니 224명을 대상으로 설문지를 배포하였다. 본 연구에서는 자아분화, 사회적지지, 양육태도에 대한 측정항목을 바탕으로 5점 Likert 척도로 측정하였다. 본 연구의 연구가설 검증 결과 북한이탈주민 어머니의 자아분화는 사회적지지에 유의한 정(+)의 영향을 미쳤으며, 양육태도에서 유의한 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었다. 또한 북한이탈주민 어머니의 자아분화와 양육태도의 관계에서 사회적지지는 유의한 매개효과를 갖는 것으로 확인되었다. 따라서 북한이탈주민 어머니의 자아분화와는 한국 사회적응에 있어서 자아분화가 높은 수준일수록 긍정적인 양육태도를 형성하기 위한 중요한 변인이며, 사회적지지 또한 북한이탈주민 어머니가 남한사회에서 성공적인 양육태도를 갖기 위한 역할 변인으로 기대할 수 있음이 사료된다.

This study is aims to investigate the relationship between self-differentiation, parenting attitude and social support of the North Korean defector mothers with children and to examine the mediating effect of social support on the relationship between self- differentiation and parenting attitude. The subjects of this study are North Korean defector mothers living in Seoul, Gyeonggi and Incheon, to whom questionnaires were distributed. The results of this study show that the self-differentiation of North Korean defector mothers has a positive effect on social support and parenting attitude. It was also found that social support has a statistically significant mediating effect on the relationship between the mothers’ self-differentiation and parenting attitude. It was concluded, therefore, that the self-differentiation of North Korean defector mothers is important for forming a positive parenting attitude, even more so if they retain a higher level of self-differentiation in assimilating into the South Korean society. It is also concluded that social support is a role factor for attaining successful parenting attitude in South Korean society
