대학 재정건전성이 재무지표에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구

A Study on the Impact of University Financial Soundness on Financial Indicators

본 연구의 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 재정건전성 항목의 독립변수인 등록금 의존율은 부채 비율은, 인건비 비율, 연구학생경비 비율이, 재정건전성 항목의 부채비율은 교육외비용이 상관관계가 유의미한 것으로 나타났으며 둘째, 재정건전성이 재무지표 항목에 미치는 영향을 다중회귀분석을 적용한 회귀모형의 적합성에 대한 검증결과는 1) 등록금 의존율, 부채 비율이 인건비 비율에 미치는 영향과 등록금 의존율, 부채 비율이 연구학생경비 비율에 미치는 영향은 등록금 의존율이 유의미한 것으로 나타났으며 2) 등록금의존율과 부채 비율이 관리운영비 비율에 미치는 영향에서는 등록금 의존율이, 등록금의존율과 부채 비율이 교육외비용에 미치는 영향에 대한 결과에서는 부채 비율이 유의미한 것으로 나타났다. 그래서 사립대학은 학생수가 절대적으로 감소하는 상황에서는 무엇보다도 등록금외의 수입 확보가 교육투자를 위해서는 필수적이다. 더욱이 정부의 투자에 대한 지원을 대학의 정원감축과 연계한 재정에 대한 지원으로 하고 있는 현실에서는 대학 스스로 장기발전을 계획하고 수립하여 대비 할 수 있도록 바뀌어야 하겠다.

From the empirical analysis, we find the following results. First, the independent variables of financial soundness measures such as tuition dependence ratio, debt ratio, labor cost ratio, and research-assisting student expenses are significantly correlated. Second, the results of verification of robustness of the regression model with a medium-return analysis on the impact of financial soundness over financial measures show that the dependence of tuition fees and the debt ratio on labor cost ratios are significant. As a result of the effect of tuition dependence rate and debt ratio on the research student expense ratio, tuition dependency ratio is found to be significant. The result of the effect of tuition dependency rate and debt ratio on the management and operation expense ratio are found to be significant. Finally, the result of the effect of tuition dependency rate and debt ratio on non-education costs reveal that the debt ratio is significant. Therefore, in the case of private universities, the absolute decrease in the number of students, above all, securing income other than tuition is essential for education investment. Moreover, in the reality that the government s investment support is financed in connection with the reduction of the university s capacity, it should be changed so that the university can plan, establish and prepare for long-term development by itself.
