Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the influence of social support related to oral health on the quality of life related to oral health in high school students in an effort to provide some information on the development of oral health promotion programs geared toward high school students. Methods: A self-administered survey was conducted on 192 high school students in some regions of Pyeongtaek, Suwon and Hwaseong and the collected data were analyzed. Results: There were statistically significant differences in the quality of life related to oral health among the subjects according to age, the educational levels of their fathers and the educational levels of their mothers among their characteristics(P<0.05), and social support related to oral health had a positive correlation with the quality of life related to oral health(P<0.05). As for the factors affecting social support related to oral health, gender and academic standing were significantly linked (P<0.05). Conclusion: The above-mentioned findings of the study illustrated that although social support related to oral health didn t exert a great influence on the quality of life of the high school students related to oral health, that had a positive correlation with the quality of life related to oral health and wellbeing.
