Anaphlaxis After Rocuronium Injection -Case Report-

Anaphylaxis during induction of anesthesia is a dreaded complication with a mortality rate of 3-6%, most frequently associated with the use of muscle relaxants. Several cases about both anaphylaxis and anaphylactoid reaction after rocuronium Injection have been reported recently. Such reactions are often life-threatening and may be fatal. Criteria for anaphylaxis include a life-threatening event and two or more of the classic signs; hypotension, bronchospasm, dermatologic signs (erythema, rash or urticaria), but not all anaphylaxis presented in the classic signs. We present a case of anaphylaxis that occured in a 18 years old woman following rocuronium injection.
