A Study on the Relationship of Work Stress, Job Satisfaction and Bum out Experience among Medical Insurance Review Nurses

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the relationship between work stress, job satisfaction and bum out experience among medical insurance review nurses. Method: Data were collected from 139 medical insurance review nurses who work at 3 tertiary hospital, 19 general hospitals and 10 hospitals in Gwangju, province of chonnam and Chonbuk from August 1 to August 31，2004 using a structured questionnaire. Descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, and Pearson correlation were used for data analysis. Result: As a result of analyzing the relationship between work stress and their burnout experience, there was a significant positive correlation (r=.607, p=.000). As a result of analyzing relationship between work stress and job satisfaction, there was a significant negative correlation (r=- .518，p=.000). As a result of analyzing relationship between job satisfaction and burnout experinece, there was a significant negative correlation (r=-.630, p=.000). Conclusion: Therefore, It is need to working environment development, simplification of administrative formality efficient personnel management, systematic job education for insurance medical nurse’s work stress reducing, job satisfaction improving，burnout experience decreasing and occupation effiency.
