Although the spleen is a frequent site of involvement in patients with non-Hodgkin s lymphoma, primary splenic lymphoma is a rare disease accounting for less than 1% of all malignant lymphomas. We describe here a 63-years old man presented to our hospital with left upper quardant pain for 2 weeks. A CT scan of the abdomen showed a tumorous mass in the spleen. A benign splenic tumor was suspected and splenectomy was performed. Pathologic examination revealed the final diagnosis of a primary, diffuse large B cell non-Hodgkin^ lymphoma of the spleen. Six courses of cytotoxic chemotherapy according to the R-CHOP were administered on a monthly basis. Clinical examinations following chemo therapy revealed a complete remission.
