장애아 집단미술치료 효과에 대한 메타분석

A Meta-Analysis of the Efficacy of Group Art Therapy Programs for Disabled Children

본 연구는 2001년부터 2018년까지 국내에서 진행된 장애아 대상 집단미술치료의 성과연구 34편을 메타분석하여 전반적인 특성과 효과를 살펴보는데 목적이 있다. R프로그램으로 효과크기, 이질성, 출간오류분석 등을 산출하여 조절효과분석 뿐만이 아니라 연구결과의 타당성을 검증하였다. 연구결과로 첫째, 2011년 이후 출판된 연구물은 장애 청소년 대상 연구가 점차적으로 증가하였다. 둘째, 73개의 분석대상 논문들에서 산출된 48개의 정적 평균 효과 크기는 Hedges’ g=1.428로, 25개의 부적 평균 효과크기는 Hedges’ g=-1.363으로 상당히 크게 나타났다. 셋째, 중재변인 유형별 이질성 탐색을 위한 조절효과분석에서는 정적, 부적 집단미술치료 평균 효과크기 차이가 모두 통계적으로 유의하였다. 넷째, 조절효과 분석에서는 정적 집단미술치료 평균 효과크기 차이는 대상연령, 장애유형, 집단크기, 회기수에서 통계적으로 유의하였고, 부적 집단미술치료 평균 효과크기 차이는 연도, 매체에서 통계적으로 유의하였다. 다섯째, 메타분석에 포함된 대부분의 데이터는 출간오류의 가능성이 낮거나 또는 통계적으로 유의미한 출간오류를 내포하고 있었으나 전체결과를 수정할 정도는 아니라고 할 수 있다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 장애아 대상 집단미술치료 프로그램의 효과연구 결과를 종합하고 집단미술치료의 효과성을 검증하였으며 후속연구와 향후 프로그램 운영에 대한 시사점을 논의하였다.

The purpose of this study was to meta-analyze 34 performance studies of group art therapy for children with disabilities conducted in Korea from 2001 to 2018. The R program was used to calculate the effect size, heterogeneity, and publication error analysis to verify the validity of the research results and the control effect analysis. The research showed that, first since 2011 the research published on adolescents with disabilities has gradually increased. Second, 48 static mean effect sizes calculated from 73 papers were Hedges g = 1.428, and 25 negative mean effect sizes were Hedges g = –1.363. Third, in the moderating effect analysis for heterogeneity exploration by type of interventional variables, the difference in mean effect size of static and negative group art therapy was statistically significant. Fourth, the mean effect size difference of static group art therapy was statistically significant in subject age, disability type, group size, and number of sessions. Fifth, most of the data included in the meta-analysis had a low probability of publication error or a statistically significant publication error, but not enough to correct the overall result. Based on these results, the research on the effectiveness of group art therapy programs for children with disabilities was synthesized and the effectiveness of the group art therapy was verified.
