대학생을 위한 실천적 인성교육 사례 연구

A Case Study on Practical Personality Education for College Students

본 연구는 대학생에게 실천을 중심으로 하는 인성교육을 실시하고, 그 운영 사례를 분석하여 실천적 인성교육 방법을 제시함을 목적으로 한다. D대학 인성수업 수강생을 대상으로 한 학기 동안 인성덕목을 실천하는 팀 활동 및 덕목 실천 캠페인을 실시하고 소감문 및 심층면담을 진행했다. 수강생의 소감문 분석 결과 5개의 인성 덕목 주제로 분류할 수 있었고, 20명의 심층면담을 통해 자세한 덕목 실천의 효과를 알 수 있었다. 주요 연구결과를 보면, 이론적으로 배우는 인성덕목의 지식을 팀원들과 실천해보는 실천 수업과 더불어 팀별로 진행하는 덕목 캠페인으로 인해 팀원들과의 소통, 친밀감을 직접 느낄 수 있었다. 또한 자신의 행동에 대한 책임감과 긍정적 자아 형성, 성실한 생활을 습관화 하며 타인과의 협동 및 배려로 대인관계와 문제해결에 도움이 되었음을 알 수 있었다. 이를 통해 강의중심의 인성교육과는 또 다른 인성교육의 방법을 제시하는데 의의가 있으며, 실천을 중심으로 하는 인성교육의 활성화에 도움이 될 것으로 기대한다.

The objective of this study is to present a way of practical personality of education by performing a practical personality education to a group of college students, and analyzing the corresponding case study. We conducted virtue practicing team activities and campaigns on the students who enrolled for personality education class in D College. Surveys and in-depth interviews were carried out during and after the course. We find five characteristic personality virtues with survey results and analyze the effects of practicing virtues implementing in-depth interviews of 20 student participants. According to the main findings, when the students take part in virtue-practicing team activities and campaigns that apply theoretical knowledge gained from class, they communicate better and feel more intimate with each other. The team activities and campaigns have a positive consequence on building relationships skills and problem solving ability of the students by practicing and cultivating positive personality traits, including responsibility, self-esteem, diligence, cooperation and attentiveness. The result of our study shows that practical personality education can be a viable alternative to traditional lecture-oriented one. We expect our study to be used to help promote practical personality education.
