초등학교 고학년이 지각하는 부모의 심리적 통제와 또래관계기술이 또래관계 질에 미치는 영향: 성차를 중심으로

The Effects of Elementary School Students’ Perceived Parental Psychological Control and Social Skills on the Quality of Peer Relationship

본 연구는 초등학교 고학년이 지각한 부모의 심리적 통제와 또래관계기술이 또래관계 질에 미치는 영향에서 성별의 차이가 있는지 살펴보고자 하였다. 연구대상은 광주광역시 및 전라남도에 소재한 초등학교 5, 6학년생을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였고 총 357부(남 185, 여 172)를 분석 자료로 사용하였다. 각 변인에서의 성별차이를 살펴보기 위해 일원분산분석을 실시하였고, 남녀 집단 각각에서 부·모의 심리적 통제, 또래관계기술, 또래관계 질 간의 상관관계를 알아보기 위해 상관분석을, 아동이 지각한 부·모의 심리적 통제와 또래관계기술이 또래관계 질에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위해 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 본 연구의 주요 결과는 남학생이 여학생보다 부의 심리적 통제를 더 높게 지각하고, 여학생이 남학생보다 또래관계기술이 좋으며, 또래관계 질이 더 높은 것으로 나타났다. 다음으로 남학생과 여학생 모두 또래관계기술이 높을수록, 그리고 부의 심리적 통제 수준이 낮을수록 또래관계 질이 높은 것으로 나타났고, 남학생, 여학생 모두에서 모의 심리적 통제는 또래관계 질에 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the gender differences in the effects of perceived parental psychological control and social skills on the quality of peer relationship in a sample of elementary school students. The participants were fifth- and sixth-grade students in Gwanju and Jeollanam-do. A total of 357 surveys (185 male students and 172 female students) were analyzed by using one-way ANOVA, correlation analyses, and linear regression analyses. The results indicated that male students perceived higher father`s psychological control than female students. Female students reported higher levels of social skills and more positive peer relationship than male students. In both groups, social skills and father`s psychological control significantly predicted the quality of peer relationship.
