중학생의 스마트미디어 과다사용과 사이버불링의 관계에서 공동체의식의 조절효과

The Effect of Community Spirit on the Relationship between the Overuse of Smart Media and Cyberbullying in Middle School Students

본 연구는 최근 급부상하고 있는 학교폭력의 새로운 유형인 사이버불링에 대응하기 위한 목적으로 수행되었다. 이를 위해 중학생의 스마트미디어 과다사용과 사이버불링의 관계를 살펴보고, 공동체의식이 어떠한 조절효과를 나타내는지 검증하였다. 이를 통해 중학생의 사이버불링을 예방하고 중재시킬 수 있는 사회복지적 개입방안을 마련하는데 경험적 근거를 제공할 것이다. 연구를 수행하기 위해 중학교에 재학 중인 중학생 911명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였으며, SPSS와 Daniel Soper의 Interaction 프로그램을 사용하여 연구문제를 분석하였다. 본 연구의 주요결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 중학생의 스마트미디어 과다사용은 사이버불링에 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 공동체의식은 사이버불링에 부(-)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 공동체의식은 중학생의 스마트미디어 과다사용과 사이버불링의 관계에서 사이버불링을 완화시키는 조절효과를 가지는 것으로 확인되었다. 구체적으로 공동체의식이 높은 집단은 스마트미디어를 과다사용 하더라도 사이버불링이 낮아지는 보호방향으로 나타났으며, 공동체의식이 낮은 집단은 취약방향으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과를 중심으로 중학생의 사이버불링을 예방하고 감소시키기 위한 사회복지적 개입방안을 제언하였다.

This study was conducted with the aim of responding to cyberbullying, a new type of school violence that has recently emerged. To this end, the relationship between overuse of smart media and cyberbullying among middle school students was examined and the community spirit was verified. This will provide an empirical basis for devising social welfare intervention measures to prevent and mediate cyberbullying among middle school students. In order to carry out the research, 911 middle school students attending middle school were surveyed and the research problems were analyzed by using the Interaction Program of SPSS and Daniel Soper. The main findings of this study are as follows. First, the use of smart media by middle school students has been shown to have a positive(+) effect on cyberbullying. Second, community spirit has been shown to have a negative(-) effect on cyberbullying. Third, community spirit has been confirmed to have a regulation effect in alleviating cyberbullying in the relationship between overuse of smart media by middle school students and cyberbullying. Specifically, groups with a high sense of community appeared to be protected from cyberbullying even if they use smart media, while groups with low sense of community appeared to be vulnerable. Based on these findings, social welfare intervention measures were proposed to prevent and reduce cyberbullying among middle school students.
